Tuesday, October 16, 2012. G ran a "hybrid" marathon on Saturday. The first half was on the road around Hagg Lake, the second half was on a trail. He was very worried about his hip, and if the pain he had would prevent him from finishing. Friday was rain, lots of rain. But despite these worries, the race went fine. He finished twelfth overall! Friday, March 15, 2013. A Brand New Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It happened. Scott had surgery on his knee and came away with a brand new Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Well, just like you say with a car - new to him, not really new. His surgery was to replace his blown out ACL with a donor ligament from a cadaver. This was so funny. Moab on the brain. Portland's been a bit soggy this week and my thoughts have turned to warmer climates. When the wind blows my core and the grey rain seeps into my mood, I think of Moab. Ben and I found ourselves down there for about a week after Lotoja (200 mile bike race from Logan to Jackson in one day) a couple of years ago and loved it.
