This year it started off a little differently. Jason and I got a weekend away from the kiddos (thanks Grandmas and Grandpas) and got to ride bikes from Charlevoix to TC. I totally neglected to take photos but we did have a wonderful time. We then moved on to face painting. Bea painted me into a 'magic witch'. Here are all 12 of the cousins.

While we were on vacation her cousin Owen told her that her 'scooter bike' was low on power so after we got back to WI she decided to go for it on her two-wheel pedal bike. First off, on March 23 Beatrice turned FOUR years old. Really hard to believe that it was 4 years ago in the middle of the night we raced to the hospital in Marquette and had little B! Here is Charlie modeling his new hat he got from our good friend Lisa! Of course he wanted to help Bea open up her presents! What a big Birthday Girl!

We took our kids and our nephew mountain biking today at the VASA singletrack in Traverse City, MI. It is one of my favorite trails and there is a really short loop option that we took the kids on. Pretty proud of a 2 year-old and two 4 year-olds riding their bikes 3k! For the parents it was more of a work-out of patience than legs, but it was worth it!

See what Jason, Rachel, Bea and Charlie are doing. Sunday, June 5, 2011. Pacific NW Spring 2011. We arrived in Bend, OR and stayed with my cousin Jeremy and his family. How fortuitous that my cousin happens to live in the same town in OR that our good friend Aaron (the groom) lives. Our first activity was to enjoy the awesome and easily accessible mountain bike trails. Here is an action shot of me, taken by Jeremy. The trails were really hard and fast, we had a great time. They recruited their friend Ben.
