Monday, October 17, 2011. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! Hmm a post about Christmas. It's no secret that our absolute favorite season in Colorado is Autumn. The the warm, sunny days, the softer light, the chill in the evening, the aspens. Seneca and Amalie are ready to hit the trail! Hmm it might be time for some hiking boots. Speaking of which, we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park at the end of September in search of aspens. Aspen, aspen. where are yoooouuu? After packing my bags, I did ...

Saturday, July 30, 2011. Happy Birthday, Sebastian! The days are long, but the years are short.". Boy, ain't that the truth! What an exceptionally wonderful year this has been with our favorite little dude! Sure, we experienced our fair share of rough days, but when I reflect upon Sebastian's growth and development of late, I only have smiles and tears of pride. Some of Sebastian's big changes include:. Overcoming his aversions to stickers and water on his head. Our sweet little boy. It's one thing to be...

Saturday, August 20, 2011. Happy Birthday, Seneca! My, what a difference a year makes! The picture above was taken on a whim when we visited the hospital to make Identification Kits for the kids. Not a great shot, but the best that I have in her birthday shirt. This particular shot is more indicative of Seneca's personality, IMO. :-). Happy birthday, Sweetie Bird! Time really does fly when you're having fun, and the past year was a blast! Left: Picking out an apple to munch on. Play with her rings,.

Sunday, March 20, 2011. Fresh and clean after her bath, and undoubtedly watching Sebastian do something funny. And, the word of the month is: FUNNY! Sebastian gets most of the credit for this, as this month he has taken to describing just about everything Seneca does as "funny." Sebastian thinks it's funny that one of Seneca's most treasured toys is a bottle of lotion,. And that her hair is getting long enough to be able to pull back with a clip. Eyes, nose and mouth, all in one handful! He thinks it's f...

Friday, October 21, 2011. So Much to Say. I've been thinking for some time about making this blog private. First and foremost, I have always felt uneasy about airing the boring details of our lives to the general public on the Internet. I shudder to even think what some pervert might be doing with pictures of my gorgeous kids. that I voluntarily posted. Well, yes. and no. I want this blog to be more of a personal family diary of sorts. And, who shares their diary with others? So, my apologies to friends ...

Monday, June 20, 2011. We are a family on the move! Seneca is crawling; Sebastian can ride a REAL. Sheryl finished the Bolder Boulder 10k and Steamboat half marathon; and Stefan will be changing jobs soon. I tried looking up songs about moving, but sadly, they're mostly about breaking up and moving on. We're (mostly) moving in a good way this month! Hopefully, a song will come to mind as I type. We'll start with Seneca. Sweetie Bird has been grum. Yep, this gal is destined for greatness! The above pictur...

Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Woo hoo. we have smiles! A hint of her personality to come? In fact, our little miss Seneca Rose started smiling spontaneously for us shortly after her 1 month birthday, around 4.5 weeks. My mom has noticed little dimples on the sides of her mouth, and her eyes really pop whenever she flashes that adorable toothless grin. She definitely has Mom and Dad wrapped around her finger, she is such a sweet little girl. Even her feet make us smile! All fed up and workin' that neck!

Thursday, January 20, 2011. Nom, nom, nom. We survived our road trip to California over the holidays! Of course, I knew. That we would, and I also knew. Made it easy to transfer the kids to bed for a few more hours of slumber. The bonus came from the fact that Grammy and Pops were more than willing to babysit that next morning while Stefan and I relaxed a bit and then went for a rejuvenating run up Jurupa Mountain. Here are a few highlights from our California Christmas vacation:. Stefan and I took Senec...

Thursday, September 23, 2010. Birth Story for Seneca Rose. We finally found the perfect excuse to update our website! Monday, September 20, 2010. Ahh we made it through the first month! The days have seemed to fly by! After staying in the hospital for just one day, we have been off and running ever since! But, I'm not sure that there's any other way to do things with a 2-year-old in tow. I am truly grateful to have had an incredibly easy recovery from this birth. Taking it all in, 16 days. Over the past ...
