Miss Scarlet Knits: Stash Enhancement Thursday
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/05/stash-enhancement-thursday.html
Thursday, May 28, 2009. Last Thursday I was lucky enough to spend the day with two of my favourite women, my mom and my aunt Judith. . Aren't they beautiful :). Judith lives in Seattle so I only get to see her once a year for Granny's birthday party in May. This year she and mom made the trek into Toronto to spend the day shopping with me. The goal was to find mom a Mother of the Bride dress and I'm happy to announce that we were successful at the first store we went into! It was a miracle! I *love* the ...

Miss Scarlet Knits: March STR Package
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/04/march-str-package.html
Saturday, April 11, 2009. I can't believe I forgot to blog about this! A few weeks ago I got the March Rockin' Sock Club shipment. I was wondering who the pattern designer this month would be and, as soon as I saw those 1970s greens and browns, I knew it was the Yarn Harlot. I like the use of pink though, I think it gives it a nice softness and takes away from the 70s influence. Look at that cute little baby skein! Check out the pattern. The rosebud motif swirls across the foot as well. You can do it!

Miss Scarlet Knits: Halifax Part 2
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/06/halifax-part-2.html
Saturday, June 13, 2009. I'm glad you all enjoyed the first set of pictures from Halifax. Here are some more. Pete and I both love the ocean so we made a point of spending as much time on it as we could. On our second day in Halifax we went on a nature tour which took us through the harbour and out into the open water. Here's a picture of the pier as the boat pulled away. When we got out into the open water it was COLD! Here I am wearing a hood, scarf, leather gloves and sun hat :). Photographic proof th...

After making this decision, I found out that Fluevog. Was having it's annual "John Fluevog Thinks You're Awesome Sale" with selected shoes up to 60% off! Can you believe that I have living in Toronto for almost 10 months and I have yet to visit the Fluevog store? Clearly this needed to be rectified and today was the day! On It was love!

Miss Scarlet Knits: May Rockin' Sock Club Package
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/05/may-rockin-sock-club-package.html
Saturday, May 30, 2009. May Rockin' Sock Club Package. I'd been disappointed last month. Look at the richness of the colours. (Please pardon the darkness of the pictures; it's an overcast day). Sock pattern. My Koigu Anatastasia socks. Are probably my favourite socks I've knit and I think the pattern would be perfect for this yarn. Isn't it nice when problems can be solved so easily :). Tomorrow Pete and I are heading off on an adventure. We're going to Halifax for 5 days! Labels: Rockin Sock Club. Have ...

Miss Scarlet Knits: Three Cowls in Three Days
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/04/three-cowls-in-three-days.html
Monday, April 13, 2009. Three Cowls in Three Days. I had a very relaxing Easter weekend. I did some training for the CN Tower climb, hung out with my adorable 5 year old cousin, and did lots of knitting while watching tv. It was bliss. And I successfully knit three cowls! The first cowl took a while to get going. I tried 2 or 3 patterns before hitting on one that was just right. Pattern: Cashmere Neck Warmer. Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 Wool in Crocus. For Heidi (who wants to learn how to knit! The middle ...

Miss Scarlet Knits: Halifax Part 1
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/06/halifax-part-1.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Well, we are back from a wonderful vacation in Halifax with very little knitting to show for it but a memory card full of pictures. Warning, the next few posts will be very picture-heavy (click to embiggen). Here's an artsy shot of the clock tower. The white spot in the middle of the sky is actually the moon. Pete and I are a great team in many ways. I have a good eye for photographs but lack the skill to properly capture them. Luckily he has the eye and the skill. The ...Which has...

Miss Scarlet Knits: Counting Down
http://missscarletknits.blogspot.com/2009/05/counting-down.html
Saturday, May 23, 2009. And I'm back. Sorry for the unexpected hiatus. Sometimes life gets so busy that I can't even think about taking pictures, let along blogging. Here's hoping there is more blogging in my future. Speaking of the future, who knows what they are doing exactly one year from today? I'm going to be getting married! In honour of my pre-iversary, I am going to show some of the wedding knitting I have planned. On the left is Seasilk left over from a shawl. Look at it sparkle! On the left you...
