Go Felt Yourself!: Vacay
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2008/07/vacay.html
Monday, July 07, 2008. Model of the Bellagio complete with fountain show. Bill's Gamblin Hall (formerly the Barbary Coast). Not a very exciting picture, but the only one I took outside. I didn't take many pictures because I've been there a few times and they're all pretty much the same. We stayed at Planet Hollywood, and if you're thinking about staying there, I have one word for you - don't. I finished up the Earl Grey. And we had 4th of July here in the village. I also started and finished a Rusted Root.
Go Felt Yourself!: November 2004
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 17, 2004. I'm down to one project! I decided to scrap the poncho, and use the Paton's Divine yarn for the New York Jacket. Instead. I also want to do a felted hat (don't ask me why, since I don't wear hats), and Debbie was kind enough to let me borrow her pattern for a Cameron Diaz-like hat. I'm furiously working on Charlotte #2 - almost done! Posted by Melanie at 10:57 AM. Monday, November 08, 2004. One hank'll do ya! Posted by Melanie at 1:48 PM. Wednesday, November 03, 2004. Man oh...
Go Felt Yourself!: March 2005
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2005. After an initially disasterous trip to Vermont, much eating out, shopping and skiing, no broekn bones but a disgusting bruised knee, and a very smooth trip home - I'm back! Skiing was fun and it was great to see Julie again. We visited Kaleidoscope Yarns. But despite all the great yarn, were uninspired. However, Julie would like a sweater much like that seen here. So I'm working on it! Now it's back to work, and back to Stitch n Bitch. And much progress on Gigi. I also did my f...
Go Felt Yourself!: Graduation
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2008/05/graduation.html
Thursday, May 29, 2008. Ainsley "graduated" today from the Goddard School. She lead the class in and amazingly didn't wander off the path. She's a little spacey sometimes, but she was very focused. I have video, so you'll be seeing a few more of them over the next few days. Knitting news - I'm slowly adding hexagons to the Swirl Shawl/Blanket. Terrible picture but you get the point. Go Felt Yourself!: Monk (or, half a monkey)
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2008/07/monk-or-half-monkey.html
Friday, July 18, 2008. Monk (or, half a monkey). Are halfway done.it's hard to photograph black patterned socks, even in daylight. I'm about to cast on for Stitch Diva's Simple Knitted Bodice. In a dark red Cotton Fleece. I bought some KnitPicks sock blanks. And some acid dye, and I'm going to try gradaded dyeing.we'll see how it goes! Posted by Melanie at 7:55 AM. I love that bodice. Go for it! Piano65 at gmail dot com. Toddler Mitered Square Skirt. Make your own badge here. Hanging Garden Lace Stole.
Go Felt Yourself!: Rusted Root
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2008/06/rusted-root.html
Monday, June 02, 2008. Anyone remember that band? They had some crazy song called "Send Me on My Way" that sounded like "sem-me-oma-way" and the only way I knew what the ACTUAL song was, was by working at one of their concerts in college, selling Tshirts, and it was written on a shirt. We got free tshirts after the show and my roommate Erica and I would wear them to tests to "send us on our way" through the test. It's surprising I didn't drink more in college. I finished the Rusted Root. I loves the socks.
Go Felt Yourself!: October 2004
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 29, 2004. I no longer hate KPPPM, now that I know how to un-hank it. :-) All is well with the world, and I'm now switching between colors C and D on Charlotte. Yay for row 100! I hope to be done soon, because I must confess, I bought a huge honkin hank of Fleece Artist Country Silk to make another. Yum! Turns out we're moving in THREE WEEKS (how's that for a quick close? In fact, I'll go do that right now :-). Posted by Melanie at 8:47 PM. Tuesday, October 19, 2004. The BBBB is done!
Go Felt Yourself!: Earl Grey and some pee thrown in for good measure
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2008/06/earl-grey-and-some-pee-thrown-in-for.html
Wednesday, June 04, 2008. Earl Grey and some pee thrown in for good measure. I started Yarn Harlot's. Early Grey socks, but these are blue. Finally getting some use of the KnitPicks Palette. Yarn I've had mumbling around the stash for some time now. Not sure I'm doing one of the cables right, but oh well. And she had to pee in a cup. She peed on my hand. I leave you with THAT. Posted by Melanie at 2:27 PM. I love Rusted Root too! Piano65 at gmail dot com. Toddler Mitered Square Skirt. I loves the socks.
Go Felt Yourself!: January 2005
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 25, 2005. I've gotten a lot of projects done, including a sweater for Justin's baby boy (although I forgot to take a picture), a jumper for Ainsley, and a bunch of squares for the charity blanket. I'm working on the Miss Bea's Target Sweater for Vicki's newly-adopted baby boy, but it's been re-worked a few times now. Hopefully I have it right this time and I'll finish it soon. I would recommend it to a friend. Posted by Melanie at 3:19 PM. Piano65 at gmail dot com. Rusted Root a la steek.
Go Felt Yourself!: June 2004
http://melanieknits.blogspot.com/2004_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2004. I figured out how to re-host the dynamic progress bars - see right! Very excited. Thanks to Anna for the flash file! Posted by Melanie at 9:15 PM. The baby blanket has progressed well - I'm about 1/4 done (as you can see from the ugly progress bars to the right). I like this pattern, and it knits up so quickly I may acutally make all this baby stuff before these babies are born! Posted by Melanie at 9:01 PM. Sunday, June 27, 2004. I make no promises. Posted by Melanie at 9:33 PM.

I'm Just a Sock Tease
I'm Just a Sock Tease. Saturday, January 24, 2015. The Imitation Game: A Knitter's Review. The Imitation Game hardly needs this humble film fan to heap praise on it's artistry, acting, or storytelling. Although, I assure you I could. The only complaint I have is that there is a continuity error early in the film that only a knitter would catch. There is a scene in which Alan Turing's coworkers invite him to lunch. He is wearing a slate blue cable knit. The film takes place in England, a country not known...
