words...words...words...: My Prediction? BANE.
http://wordsxthree.blogspot.com/2012/08/my-prediction-bane.html
Friday, August 3, 2012. I recently went out to see The Dark Knight Rises. As every obedient pop culture monkey has over the last two weeks. That reminds me - it's been two weeks. I've waited long enough. I'm going to spoil the shit out of this movie, and if you haven't seen it yet, leave now and come back later. I'm so glad I got that off my chest. But seriously, that's not even the reason I'm writing this post. This post is about the similarities between The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight Rises.

Thursday, February 25, 2010. Fun With Camera Phones: Vancouver Edition. At first I was alarmed that Mr. Tube Steak was selling his wares openly on the street. Then I remembered that Canada has a much more laid back attitude toward things like this. I must say, $6 for tube steak nestled in buns is a good deal in any country. An ad featuring Tiger Woods and the words "Perfect Lies". Yeah, not so much apparently. Wordplay! Viewers of Saturday Night Live. Wooderson from Dazed and Confused. This, I Don't Need.

Friday, May 28, 2010. Rocking For The Weekend: The Muppets. Okay, so this isn't technically "rocking". But it's Memorial Day Weekend! And who better to help us observe this holiday than my favorite Muppet, that glowering patriot, Sam the Eagle. Please join Sam and the rest of the Muppets in a rousing rendition of "Stars And Stripes Forever", and enjoy your holiday weekend! Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Fun With Camera Phones: Loss Prevention. I wonder if they had this problem when they were making. Boston's s...

Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The Road Not Taken. Was a promising flautist before being demoted to second chair in the school orchestra and concluding that meritocracy sucked. Won championships at hundreds of quilting bees before his girlfriend left him over his obsession; soon decided that the arts were indulgent and vain. Enjoyed floral arrangement until he was drafted and subsequently ridiculed by his Army buddies; vowed revenge on everyone, saying "I'll eat your children! Decades before Mike Tyson did.

Monday, November 30, 2009. The G-Chat Diaries, Vol. 10. Words, I think I'm becoming a hippie. I've started becoming CONCERNED about things. That is never a good sign. If you ever get the urge to wear Birkenstocks or leave your pits unshaved, please contact me first. I've already had that urge. I couldn't get past how fugly Birkenstocks are, though. If there is any medicine or therapy you can use to avoid hippie-ism, I will be happy to donate. Bursts into tears* I DON'T EVEN DRIVVVVEEEEEE! All is not lost!

Populus Es Bardus: April 2015
http://populusesbardus.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. Creative Thursday. "Dear God" and "Just Some Punks". Posted by Reed Page. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Cutting The Cord. For The Second Time. Where has time gone? I've been taking my eldest child, Emily, to visit colleges. As a parent, it is strange how we watch our children grow older as we do not. In a few months it will be our last summer together. Knowing I have prepared her seems a small consolation to the thought of her hours away and less frequently in my life. DISCLAIMER: ...

Populus Es Bardus: September 2014
http://populusesbardus.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. The Resolve - (Do not read while eating.). Last November, two months after my girlfriend R. moved in, an incident occurred that changed my perspective on a lot of things. Everything started out fine and we laughed as we had meatballs for dinner. I went to bed, as usual, except for a slight bout of gas and some stomach discomfort. Three hours later I had to get up and go to the bathroom. Nothing felt wrong until I sat on the toilet. Then all hell broke loose. My voice must hav...

Populus Es Bardus: July 2013
http://populusesbardus.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Death Row For Orchids. When I moved into the co-op, I decided to buy an orchid at Aldi Supermarket. I really didn't decide so much as was told to, by an older woman that was rifling through them. She said they were impossible to kill and I had to have one. Well, this post is my way of telling her, she doesn't know me. Orchids are like people. Some never have issues and coast through their lives. Some bloom, hit major setbacks but grow strong and will hopefully bloom again. Novembe...

Populus Es Bardus: Ride Like the Wind, Die Like an Idiot.
http://populusesbardus.blogspot.com/2014/11/ride-like-wind-die-like-idiot.html
Saturday, November 1, 2014. Ride Like the Wind, Die Like an Idiot. Sunday morning is bowling morning. R, the kids and I try to go every week. This past weekend the girls were at their moms, so I had to pick them up on the way to the alley. Well, I like bike riding as much as the next person, maybe even more so. It is one sport that you really can’t screw up at. At least, I thought you couldn’t screw it up. I was proven wrong. On the way to pick up the kids, a swarm of people on bikes invaded the roads.

Populus Es Bardus: "Some Daughter"
http://populusesbardus.blogspot.com/2010/07/some-daughter.html
Thursday, July 1, 2010. My favorite school project that Emily ever did was her Charlotte's Web diorama. It was the first report for school that I could actually help her with. During Emily's other projects, I was working in the city and never had time to help her do one, the hours I was keeping were not conducive to it. Emily and I both learned a valuable lesson in the days it took to do that diorama. That's “Some Daughter.”. Posted by Reed Page. July 2, 2010 at 10:53 AM. View my complete profile. This m...
