Sunday, June 04, 2006. What a great weekend! Had a really fun weekend of racing. The pontiac time trial on saturday and hanson hills today. Both races went better than expected for me which is encouraging. Today's road trip was cool. Shawn, Bill, and I drove up together in the jeep commander. Had I not had a little mechanical on my last lap we would have all finished in the money today. :-). Bill finishes 4th elite. Robert rolls in for 6th elite. Shawn celebrates his fist big win. Thursday, April 13, 2006. Hope it rains a lot this weekend. I'm gona try to ride super light this weekend as my slight knee ache is just starting to become more noticeable. It's still easy to ignor and go out and put in huge miles but I figure with the long summer of fun ahead of me I better try and be good for a couple days and let my recover. Friday, March 31, 2006. Weather is just starting to turn for the better here in southeast michigan and I suddenly develop a little knee issue. :-( It's just the slightest dull ache at the back of the left knee and after a internet search I think it could be a Baker's Cyst. Sunday, June 18, 2006. I finished the Lumberjack 100! It's been since Leadville 2003. Since I finished a 100 miler. I signed up for Leadville 2004 but broke two bones in my hand 3 days before that race and then DNFed at Lumberjack 2005 with a broken collarbone. Well, hopefully I got that monkey off my back now. First page of the results. It did end up super hot out there. I drank about 240 oz. of grape gatorade during the race. Amazingly my legs did not cramp up once. Links to this post.
