I have been playing around with Node.js and there are a few things with javascript which keep tripping me up. The first thing I have had trouble with is that when passing a function as an argument, it should not actually be invoked. In other words, the function reference should be bare and not followed by brackets. One upshot of this is that if the function reference is eventually going to be invoked with arguments, then these arguments will need to be passed as separate arguments.
