Over the last 15 years we have sent 34 containers of aid. ONE and A QUARTER MILLION POUNDS. Worth of donated goods. Bicycles from Center Parc. We had not even thought about sending aid when the charity began. People just started giving toys and clothes for the children. Eventually we obtained two 20 foot containers to store the donations which now reside in Warminster thanks to the generosity of Gibbs Transport. Below are examples of the aid distribution. One of the ways you can help children who live in contaminated areas of Belarus, is to enable them to have a month's respite care away from the radiation in the UK. The White Horse is very high compared to the flat terrain of Belarus. You may recall in April 1986 under the former soviet government, a dreadful nuclear accident occurred at the Chernobyl plant in Northern Ukraine. A reactor overheated and exploded, causing a major fire sending deadly radioactive isotopes into the atmosphere, 70% of which fell on to Belarus. The clean-up operation cost $18 bn. CCIN was first established in 1999 when it was decided, following a visit to Ozarichi Main school, to raise money to build an attached boys and girls toilet with mains drainage all to western standards. This is to replace the air conditioned gravity toilet at the end of the school vegetable garden. We had no idea how long it would take to raise the money or even how to do it.
