http://eclipse-ecosystem.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A blog devoted to promoting the Eclipse ecosystem. Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Eclipse at MySQL Users Conference. I've always been a fan of the gang at MySQL. For many years I've been watching closely at how well they understand Open Source in general, but particularly how keen they are with Open Source business models. If you ever find yourself looking at names like Zack Urlocker. On a conference program, you should go have a listen. Luckily, the MySQL Users Conference 2006. Covansys job looking for Ecli...

November 15, 2006. Sometimes it's refreshing to write a useful little aspect. Just last night I was reviewing some code that colleagues wrote for thread safety and I found this to be a really efficient way to find likely danger spots:. Javautil.Collection *.*). Javautil.Collection *.*):. Javautil.Map *.*). Javautil.Map *.*):. For example, here is how the DefaultPluginManager aspect allows a plugin to define new kinds of operations:. Collection result = (Collection). November 14, 2006. I enjoyed being bac...

Laquo; September 2006. November 2006 ». October 25, 2006. AOP at the Colorado Software Summit. I'm enjoying another year of presenting at the Colorado Software Summit. One of my talks is about AOP with Spring 2.0, covering both the use of Spring AOP and of AspectJ within Spring. I've really enjoyed some of the dialog with attendees when I give this talk and afterwards: it's great to hear how people are making real use of AOP and new ideas for additional uses. Dave’s thoughts (such as they are). Archive for the 'Misc' Category. Last (hopefully) Lion issue. November 21st, 2011 Category: Misc. I was getting frequent lockups – I wasn’t sure initially what was going on, but it became apparent that it was something related to Eclipse. While eclipse was building my projects, it would crawl to a halt (always at the same place on the same project). Other apps would be responsive- for a while, but eventually everything would crawl to a halt. No, it’s not back....

Gotchas : Java Glossary. You are here :. Roedy Green of Canadian Mind Products. A gotcha is a nasty surprise in the Java language or the standard libraries. Some might call them bugs, some features. Sometimes they are the result of incompetence or carelessness on the part of the language designers and sometimes they are just quirky things that cannot be helped. Here is a chart of the some dangerous waters. I spoke on this topic in 1997-11. At the Colorado Summit Conference. And again in 1999-11. Above is...

Eclipse Ecosystem: February 2006
http://eclipse-ecosystem.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
A blog devoted to promoting the Eclipse ecosystem. Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Eclipse demand up over 25% so far in 2006. As you may recall from an old post. I believe that Dice.com is a pretty darned good indicator of real world demand for technology skills. Back in early January I noted that "Eclipse" had 490 job offers, JDeveloper 95, NetBeans "Net Beans" 41, IntelliJ 27. Ajax is really taking off, it's gone from 272 in early Jan to 432 today. Ruby went from 66 to 104. Posted by Donald Smith @ 1:56 PM.
