Belinda and Anne-Elise, my Australian housemates. Here are a few of my observations on Aussies. Hope you enjoy! They feel the need to call scotch tape ‘sticky tape’. They’ll ‘tuck in’ a...

Further Information About EMI. September 12, 2012. WARNING: this post may be nerdy and technical. Proceed at your own risk. Thanks Rose (our fantabulous team leader) for letting me adapt her blog post. Most of this awesomeness was written by her. One of my favorite parts of EMI project trips is connecting with the local people in the ministries we serve, in this case, the students of Daystar. At the student led chapel on Sunday, Information Technology student Grace shared this original composition. Note:...

Further Information About EMI. October 30, 2012. As the Crimson Tide rolls toward National Championship No. 15, I’m in Africa learning about the rest of the world’s football. Here are a few photos of our fall football season Saturday a few weeks ago in Kampala. A big thanks to Semei (one of the EMI local staff) for taking all of us! We go, we go, Uganda Cranes we go! Tailgating at our compound before the match. The whole gang amped up to beat Zambia. Yes, it was just as intense and awesome as it looks.

Further Information About EMI. University of Alabama 2012. Major: BS Civil Engineering. Fort Worth, Texas. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? March 01, 2017. It is always good to review the basics of church which is, by nature, organic and living. Church is the people of God organically connected to God. At Pentecost, when the Spirit breathed upon God’s people, this organic connection came to life. Thus we see terms for the church like: ‘living church,’ ‘body of Christ,’ ‘seed planted that produces fruit 30, 60, 100 fold.’. The simple DNA of the living church is evident:. 1 Intimacy with Christ. 2 Reaching out with love. . This is not about ...

We will look forward to waking up each morning. We will, once again, know the peace, the joy, the abundance that this life can offer. Many, however, like the children of Israel in the Book of Judges, will sadly start to forget God again, and the cycle will be repeated all over. In this life, we will always have tr...

The heavens declare the glory of God. And the firmament sheweth. As we travel through this world, we find ourselves wondering why we're here. And what our purpose in life is. We weren't simple accidents of passion, we were created specifically and wonderfully by a loving and awesome God. He loves us so much that He sent His only Son to become a sacrifice for our sins and through that act of love, we are given the opportunity to accept salvation through Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you.
