Sojourning Together: November 2010
http://mattandleahstpierre.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sojourn: a temporary stay. Friday, November 26, 2010. My own thankful list. I’m a day late I know, but Happy Thanksgiving to all! We spent our Thanksgiving 2010 at the St. Pierre’s, with the Pedretti side of the family. We began our day with the 2. Annual St. Pierre 10k Turkey Trot. Which I have come to firmly believe is the best way to start Thanksgiving because then the first 600 calories are free! I love reading people’s thankful lists. My far from comprehensive “thankful list” of 2010:. I’m tha...

Monday, August 29, 2011. Today I would like to know. Why my purse smells like feet. I would blame it on the fact that it's used, but I've had it for a while now. Sojourn: a temporary stay. Tuesday, July 5, 2011. AND, starting today I started a “My joys” book- a journal full of things I’m thankful to the Lord for. Have heard that living in gratitude is a real heart, soul, and mind changer. I’m down for that. The images here are certainly included in my joys! 8220;When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them? 8221; Psalm 8. Unless The Seed…. Unless the seed falls to the ground, ain't gonna be no life at all. To the little, pink, thatch house. October 31, 2014. Dear Little Pink Banboo-Thatch Room,. We moved last week. Left you behind, because our landlady’s family needed you for a bit. We reached our last night in you and L and I both realized that we had not really said goodbye. We’ve been too busy, too tired, too distracted. And so I thought I would say goodbye here. We brought our first pet home to you, and then let him go.

Thursday, December 29, 2011. Are you reading this? Monday, December 26, 2011. I'm not addicted to blogging, really. 2 and, would people really read anything I have to say anyway? But the nagging feeling was persistent, and in July, I finally published my very first post. With no expectations. While brainstorming ideas for subsequent topics, I remembered the sign I had put on my trash bin in the office. So to summarize, so far this blog has brought me:. 1 Accountability in my own life decisions;.

Sojourn: a temporary stay. Monday, May 23, 2011. Every month of this ye. I can confidently say that every time I walked away from an NSD day, I have one application: Pray more. It is so simple, and yet so hard. It was so striking to me that more than any strategy, tool, book, or skill, PRAYER is the heart of “good” ministry. Here are a few of the other things that I stood out to me over our year of NSD:. These are my reflections from NSD…not that you asked ;). June 27, 2011 at 9:35 AM. Be, mama. be.

Learning to make his people my people. June 21, 2015. June 21, 2015. Sojourning in a Jewish Bible Study. Friday, December 19, 2014. The cost of christmas. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. Not just because of the variety of homemade goodies or family coming from different places, but one reason I love Christmas is because there are so many memories. Memories of time with family members who may not be with us this year or memories of getting “that one gift” I kept pestering my parents to get me. But one thing that has come to my mind this year, and really in the past few days, is the cost of Christmas.

Sojourn in Kennesaw
Wednesday, April 4, 2012. I talked to Dad today over the phone. He said he viewed an aerial map of Kennesaw. Lots of roads, he observed. He asked me how I find my way around. My answer was, “I can’t.”. In New Hampshire particularly, when they put in the 911, they asked the towns to change the names of some of their streets to avoid this confusion. The only thing then was learning and getting used to the new names, but that didn’t take too long to do. This is hard to explain to folks who hadn’t visi...

Sojourn in Paris
With love from Paris our final day. And so it comes to an end, this sojourn in Paris. One month in Paris and now, suddenly it seems, we must leave. We don't really want to leave, yet it will feel good to be home again. Spending one month in one place meant we were able to get to know our neighbourhood. Out of those 30 days, we had our morning coffee at Le Brio. Before leaving. It was an emotional end to a wonderful final day in Paris, and to our sojourn in Paris. À bientôt, j'espère.
