sojourn on earth.

Monday, September 10, 2012. I used to think I was decent in the kitchen. You know, I can follow a recipe and rarely catch anything on fire. But then I moved to India, where recipes are rare, and I found out that I've got a lot to learn about cooking from scratch. In hopes that I might one day settle down and marry a local guy (which isn't at all my plan), or at least impress my family and friends back home, Bhumika has taken on the task of teaching me some of her mad skills. sojourn on earth.: An Indian 2011.

http://www.sojournonearth.blogspot.com/2012/01/indian-2011.html

Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Turns out, I lived in India for all.of.2011. And I will never be the same. It's real hard for me to process through all I've learned and experienced this year, but I think I can come up with a list of some sort. Hit up Oman, Malaysia, and the UAE. Thought on my feet. Danced with the tribes. Treated Thailand like a home-away-from-home. Made some LEGIT friends. Drew a little henna. Took buses, autos, rickshaws, metros, trains, planes, and truckers like there was no tomorrow.

sojourn on earth.: March 2012

http://www.sojournonearth.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 31, 2012. Are you my mother? My own mother is in India! Can you believe it? If you want to get the low-down on her time here, you can call her cell. haha. But I'll give you an overview. She came with a team of songwriters. To lead two incredible songwriting conferences. Where brothers and sisters from all over learned to write songs in their own heart languages. She rode an elephant. And nearly escaped a crazy one-horned-rhino attack! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). sojourn on earth.: BOOM.

http://www.sojournonearth.blogspot.com/2011/10/boom.html

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Get out of the way! Diwali, the "festival of lights," is one of the biggest celebrations for many Hindus in my area, and it's here! Families are gathered in their courtyards, mischievous boys are throwing little "bombs" under the feet of passersby in the busy marketplace, and friends visit each other to to deliver sweets or just to say "Happy Diwali! BOOM His light can shake up this place more than any firecracker. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Random things I like.

http://www.sojournonearth.blogspot.com/2011/11/betty-is-that-you.html

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Betty, is that you? Okay, okay. guys, it's not Betty Crocker. It's just me- Liz. But, boy oh boy, I sure did feel like her on Thanksgiving. It was such a sweet day to spend with fellow-Americans here and thank Him for all He has done for us. And I got to practice my cook-from-scratch skills. And, yes, this IS homemade cinnamon coffee creamer. Yumm. I promise I'm not just promoting my potential wife skills, but I kinda wanted to show off my ability to follow a recipe. hah.

Moving Forward: routine

http://emilycammarata.blogspot.com/2011/12/routine.html

Sunday, December 18, 2011. So, I run frequently. Normally it’s somewhere around 5 days a week. I get asked if I enjoy it, and I say yes, but truly it’s quite complicated. I usually run around the track of the football stadium at night. I have gone to one game in the past two years, so I figure I should visit it often during its off-season to let it know I still care. Plus, there are always ultimate Frisbee players out as well, which makes me feel safer at night. So, back to the last sprint. Then the mome...

http://emilycammarata.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 17, 2012. If I could sum up the end of this semester I would, but I can’t do that. Its impossible and a roller coaster that I don’t think I would make it out alive from. What I can tell you is how blessed I am with the community God has placed around me unexpectedly. And then there is Amy who cares SO deeply, you can feel it in your own heart before she even says anything to you. She is honest and can make you laugh really, really hard. She makes you look at nature in a new way just...

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Pray for the Orphan Parts of Me.". This morning I forgot it was Tuesday. I piddled around the house. Threw my hair into a messy bun. Five bobby pins and three re-dos later, I was finally content with the amount of “messy” the bun contained. I took my sweet time getting ready and then looked at the clock that read 9:27. Then I remembered it was a Tuesday. I had a coffee date with a friend in three minutes. 8220;you can pray for the orphan parts of me”. The orphan parts of me.

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. I haven't written in quite some time. Mainly from lack of time, but also from lack of event. But, alas, there have been changes. My biggest problem is agreeing with my roommate on a color to paint the bathroom. It may take a while. Oh here are my roommates. Moving Forward: Plans Over Breakfast

http://emilycammarata.blogspot.com/2012/01/plans-over-breakfast.html

Thursday, January 12, 2012. Tangible plans to hopefully teach overseas or something was such a crazy thing compared to talking about soccer games, project graduation, and college choices in senior economics class four years ago. The college graduation date that I never thought would come is just a few more semesters away. It’s a lot of time left, but it will fly like I won’t believe. And I know it. Oh please, Oh please. Let that always be my heart’s prayer. February 3, 2012 at 1:53 PM. For teachers to be.

My Journey Through Runescape So Far. Monday, June 16, 2008. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury. Okay, may not have been the smartest thing I've ever done, but I've put Boombaye's situation (In anonymous terms of course) on the tip.it forums to see what a neutral audience would think of it, since I noticed most of his accusers are Blessings members (or ex-members), and Tim's groupies. And Blessings, the odds are kinda stacked against you guys in it. Here's the link the thread. Sunday, June 15, 2008. Mazchan...

Sojourn of the Scribe. Thoughts from the Path. Trilogy on the River. Boys of Summer Series. I wrote a post this week sort of tearing down the American idea of goals and resolutions, or at least questioning it. And now I’m going to participate in one of those very things. So, bear with me.
