こういう編成だとかけあいヴォーカルか、女性ヴォーカルを前面に出しているケースが多いように思われるけど、このSolanderの場合はFredrik Karlssonが歌い手で、Anja Linnaがバックでサウンド・メイキングを支えるというスタイル。 M7「Social Scene」の突き抜けたポップネスにも耳をう暴割れるし、表題曲「Monochromatic Memories」の演出するカタルシスは格別だ。 現在ツアー中だという彼等、Kings of ConvenienceのErland Oyeのサポートを務めたりもしている模様。 The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett. 完全復活！とか騒ぐほどではないにしても、いつもの期待度七掛けな仕上がりが一割増しくらいになってるのでは。 このヒトのメロディはギター・バンド・サウンドよりアコースティック・アレンジのほうが似合ってる気がします。 M4「Goloden Ratio」なんかはコレコレ！みたいなカンジでありますが。 収録曲全9曲のうち4曲目「Who Lived Here? Micah P. Hinson.

Monday, 30 December 2013. BROODS - Never Gonna Change. Originally published for The Line of Best Fit. Packing enough pop punch to force anyone to revise their ones to watch lists, NZ siblings BROODS. Return with another stellar creation in 'Never Gonna Change'. October’s 'Bridges' was a breakthrough for the duo who have since signed to Polydor (UK) and Capitol (USA). It was hard to imagine another track that could so quickly shoot you in the heart. Expect big things for BROODS in 2014, who have Lorde.
