Battletech Force Balancer
This program is a tool to help players balance two Battletech forces against one another by applying all potential modifications to the Battle Value including pilot skills, C3 use, Manei Domini modifiers, and Uneven Force multipliers. Enter a name for the scenario (ie. Wolf and Blake Recon). Enter a Force name in the Primary Force box (ie. Word of Blake). Click the Shield icon to Add Units. Butto n at the bottom right to add them all. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the Secondary Force box.

BF Calcs now add u instead of j to movement type when UMU's are added. Fixed Open dialog to correctly calculate BV and Cost when multiple units selected. Updated Era year display. Updated Production Era choices. BFB Fixes (Force Balancer). SAW Fixes (Combat Vehicles). Updated Era year display. Fixed BV for Claws.

When it exports the force, it uses the name in the Unit Name box, but sometimes I don't want to use that name, could we have a "save as" dialog box? It can default to the name in the Unit Name box for those that don't want to use a new name. Here are the things we would like to be able to export: Beagle active probe, Jump capable, ECM, Head Cap, 8 , 10 , physical weapons, TSM, Speed, total armor, Targeting Computer, total weapon damage. Load Forces only from BFB file. Save Unit XML as part of BFB file.

This program was written in Java 6 SE using the Netbeans IDE. You will need the latest version of the Java VM to run this program. For most operating systems, the Java VM can be found here:. Http:/ java.sun.com. Unzip the folder "SSW" from the archive you downloaded and place it somewhere you like (such as your desktop). The program will not work while the file is still compressed, so this is a crucial step. Java -jar "SSW.jar".

Guide to Adding Custom Weapons by Mighty Midget. Go to the Docs Folder. Open CustomEquipment.ods (using either Open Office Calc or Microsoft Excel). Select the correct Worksheet for the type of item you want to add (equipment for equipment). Ignore the fact that it says "Mech Only" on the worksheet. Select an empty row, and enter the data for the item you wish to add to SSW (At the top of the WeaponsMechOnly sheet is a legend for each column). Make sure the correct Worksheet is selected.
