Saltscape: Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah
http://saltscape.blogspot.com/2012/05/monument-valley-arizonautah.html
Where in the world are we now? 160; Follow along on our travel adventures. Saturday, May 19, 2012. Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah. Most of the Valley’s monuments are best seen by car from a 17-mile rough dirt road. The road is open to the public, but we really weren’t too keen to take the van off-roading. So instead we called Navajo Spirit Tours. Ranked #1 on Trip Advisor, for good reason) and booked an afternoon tour. It turned out to be the best thing we could have done. Posted by Amanda and Kevin.

The Babbling Conch: Hiking!
http://thebabblingconch.blogspot.com/2013/11/hiking.html
I just discovered that we can see the fountain. From our balcony (it goes off every hour). Friday, we headed to see Amanda and Kevin, formerly of Solstice. They lived in Arizona when we did, but we didn't actually meet until we crossed paths off the island of Martinique. Now they live 25 minutes from us, so we headed over and ate some pizza. They had a nice sunset from their place. Saturday was the Festival of Arts and Crafts. She didn't make them, but we appreciated the gesture. About 45 minutes from ou...

Where in the world are we now? 160; Follow along on our travel adventures. Sunday, October 11, 2015. The last stop on our Utah roadtrip was Zion National Park. Most people come to the park from Las Vegas, in the west. But I think the best way to get into the park is from the East Entrance, via the scenic Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (Utah Route 9). This road winds past some of the prettiest red rock I've ever seen. View of a tunnel "window" from below. Zion Canyon and the Virgin River. This hike should neve...
