Somatic Experiencing är en metod för bearbetning av trauma som utarbetads av Ph.D Peter Levine vid 1900-talets slut. Efter många år av forskning fastnade han för frågan om hur det kommer sig att vilda djur så lätt skakar av sig traumatiska händelser. Utifrån denna infallsvinkel skapade han en mycket verksam metod.
