We then refilled and went to a new spot at the Gaasperplas, close to Amsterdam and Amstelveen. The bottom consists of old peat. Starting out from Utrecht, we went south through Nieuwegein and crossed the Lek near Vianen. Vic's View on the World. Friday, September 08, 2006. Diving in Zeeland is a treat! I had almost forgotten how much live there is under water over there. Lobster, crab, shrimp, fish, plants, everything. Beautiful. If you are a diver and ever are in The Netherlands during summer, be sure to go diving in Zeeland for a weekend.
