Hello Idaho: November 2011
http://helloidaho.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 24, 2011. Harriman State Park, Nov. 2011. It's been over a year since I've blogged anything, and the grandparents have probably given up checking in here, but I've decided to update the blog and keep it going while we're still here. We have less than a year before we move, so I want to document a little more of our life in Idaho before we move on to new adventures in Hawaii. Today we are grateful to be home together for this wonderful holiday. Happy Thanksgiving! Links to this post.

Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan. Saturday, 4 February 2012. Home is where the grunge is. Should I remind people of who I am? Let them know that I’m not worthy? My socks were firmly back on my feet as I drudged back into our grungy two bedroom hotel suite realizing that it will home for a while! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. View my complete profile. Am I really this crazy? Bss and Brn in Al Ain. Henry's of Al Ain. M and J Adventures. On and off the page.

http://aussieinalain.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan. Thursday, 17 June 2010. June 17 - Week One. We've been steadily increasing our French from half a dozen words to a dozen and a half words over the last week! Well, I'm about to bury myself in a book I found in the apartment and have been enjoying - 'Salmon fishing in the the Yemen,' a great read so far. Oh, gosh, it's almost the cocktail hour - where's the Pastis? Hard work in the penthouse. St Jean de la Gineste (vineyard). At the Fromage Ferme. Links to this post. A teach...

Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan: June 2009
http://aussieinalain.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan. Sunday, 28 June 2009. Refuge from the thronging crowds. Brugge lives up to its reputation of being jam-packed with people on the weekend. You'd have needed a shoe horn to fit anyone else in yesterday. While wrestling our way onward we spotted a Kempinski Hotel down a narrow cobblestone laneway. A minute later we were in spacious air-conditioned luxury. Links to this post. Friday, 26 June 2009. Planes, trains and automobiles. This was outside the Gruuthuse museum. Appare...

Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan: driver licence
http://aussieinalain.blogspot.com/2012/03/to-buy-car-i-need-few-bits-and-bobs.html
Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan. Sunday, 18 March 2012. To buy a car I need a few bits and bobs including a local driver licence. Okay, where to start? I ask around and find that I need to photocopy my passport, visas, identity card and Abu Dhabi licence, then take the copies and originals down to the Post Office. So I set off with all that I've been told - with the full expectation that they'll tell me that I also need a photocopy of X. No, not next room? Next day I set off. Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan: December 2009
http://aussieinalain.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Aussie in Bandar Seri Begawan. Saturday, 19 December 2009. Ramsay Street has been full of excitement of late. It's all worthy soap-opera material. Firstly there's the neighbour who beats her maid in the street. The other day the two of them were walking from the mosque store; maid in front and woman in local dress behind. The maid walks and cowers while the other woman walks and beats. It's a distressing sight. Then there was the episode involving the teenager girl who lives with the woman (daughter?
