Today, Elisabeth Elliot died and I realized that although she has encouraged and mentored countless Christians through her books and testimony, her death will go largely unnoticed by the world. There will be no announcement on CNN, no tribute in People magazine. And yet I don't doubt that today she heard the words, "Well done, faithful servant," and really isn't that what it's all about? Getting that amazing job in a big firm? Or is it being that quiet light in a neighbourhood?
