This species is spreading in the UK probably as a result of climate change. The current distribution from the National Biodiversity Network is here. I think I saw one like these! The Moths of Glamorgan. County List - Macros. County List - Micros. Friday, 7 August 2015. Our Bridgend garden last night (MV). A cool night, only 42 moths of 21 species, the highlight being four new micro species to add to our year list: Bryotropha terrella, Carcina quercana, Agriphila selasella and Agriphila tristella. The Bryotropha was new for the patch taking us to 385 species (264macro/121micro). Other moths of interest were Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix and several LBBY Underwing. Welcome to the GMRG.

The Moths of Glamorgan. County List - Macros. County List - Micros. Monday, 3 August 2015. Creigiau - Saturday 01 August. Just under 100 moths on Saturday night. 44 species, including 7 new for the year - August Thorn, Common Rustic, Eucosma cana ( new for me ), Pale Mottled Willow, Agriphila selasella, Scalloped Oak and possibly a Spindle Ermine. The night was dominated by Large Yellow Underwings - a total of 20, either in the trap or on the wall close by. 4 August 2015 at 15:23. Welcome to the GMRG.

I trapped here on tuesday night and had about over 110 moths of 60 species in total with dingy footman making up most of the total. The Moths of Glamorgan. County List - Macros. County List - Micros. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Our Bridgend garden last night. Warmer night = more moths, 118 in all of 33 species. The highlight was our first ever Blackneck (see photo) for the site and a lifer too. 377th (262nd macro). Other species new for the year were Mompha divisella / bradleyii (agg), 1 unidentified (help! See below - Pempelia type sp? Grass Veneer, Crambus perlella, Foxglove Pug, Knot-grass and Marbled Beauty. Posted by Paul Parsons.

The Moths of Glamorgan. County List - Macros. County List - Micros. Sunday, 30 August 2015. Creigiau - 28 August - Small Waved Umber? The box on Friday attracted 82 moths of 27 species. Of these 5 were new for the year - Chequered Fruit-tree Tortrix, Canary-shouldered Thorn, Flounced Rustic (I think), Small Square-spot and Small Waved Umber. The latter is new for the garden and me, and although looking a little battered, I'm fairly confident with my ID. The Tortrix was also new for the garden. Of the 105...
