She studied and performed throughout high school and college, competing in regional and state competitions for classical vocal music, placing in the top 10 classical vocalists in the State of Oregon in 1991. She is the winner of many outstanding soprano awards and is also the winner of the National Arion Award for Music. She is a freelance graphic designer.
