Something From Nothing
The art of turning "good junk" into "great design". Sunday, October 5, 2014. If I can make a Quilt, anyone can! I had been surfing around Pinterest and had found an easy 9 block or Disappearing 4 Block, and decided that I could tackle that. You can find the tutorial at Andie Johnson Sews. The irony was that the kit said it could be made in an evening, but with my variation on the blocks it was a weekend project. One block almost completed. This shows the correct way to turn the cut blocks. 65279;...

Something from Nothing
Take a pile of nothings and turn it into something! Monday, May 30, 2011. Long time no post.I am enjoying a 'staycation' this weekend. I hope to finish the weekend by finishing the quilting on a rather large lap quilt and try to get the binding done. We'll see how far I get! Anyhoo.on to the new jewels. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Scrumptious Scraps Week 2. To cover the areas I'm no...

Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter. Monday, February 14, 2011. This old highway's gettin' longer. Rose knew just what I wanted this year for my birthday. I can't wait for April. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Tyler gave Chris a hug after he opened his present. I thought that it was really nice. This is the cake that I made for Tyler. It is 5 layers at the tallest point! I was so proud of myself, because it looked just like it did in the magazine that I copied it out of! He's wanted a bathrobe fo...

Something from Scratch
Redoing, restarting, regenerating,. Monday, April 14, 2014. Friday, January 28, 2011. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Once again inspired by The Artful Parent. Audrey and I made some playdough today. Here. Is the recipe from her site. We made only half the recipe because we were low on salt and cream of tartar, which, frankly, I'm amazed we had at all since I don't have any idea what the heck it's for. Here is the original recipe:. 2 1/2 cups salt. 3 Tablespoons cream of tartar. 10 Tablespoons vegetable oil.
