http://www.somethingsinteresting.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

The following events are entirely factual and take place in and around the south-west of France. Friday, June 22, 2007. The #1 slackest blogger. Hello to anyone who's actually still reading - I wouldn't be surprised if y'all have given up since I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. But you can be relieved to know that I am still alive and kicking/backpacking! All the same, I can't complain because I've had my fair share of beautiful days in our travels since I last posted. We immediately jumpe...

The following events are entirely factual and take place in and around the south-west of France. Wednesday, February 21, 2007. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for a bunch of snow in the Pyrenees not far from Carcassonne so that my second week back at school will be in the mountains with 2 of my classes. I enjoy this assistant thing but the offer of a pretty much free week of skiing sounds tons better than being in class! Wednesday, February 14, 2007. 2 Kiwi girls on the road. However, (since I know y...

The following events are entirely factual and take place in and around the south-west of France. Wednesday, August 01, 2007. Tales of a California tourist. Firstly - apologies again for having fallen out of touch on this medium. However, I have been beaten by some slight technical issues with a Trojan rampantly taking over my laptop and then the cable for downloading my pics having vanished. We have done the obligatory nearly full day at the outlet malls, and then Monday we spent in LA. In 23 years o...

The following events are entirely factual and take place in and around the south-west of France. Tuesday, July 10, 2007. No longer a European traveller. Well, well. I was always so sure the final day was so far off, but on Friday I flew out of France for good (or at least for the next little while :p). Except for the winter stuff I managed to fob off to loving family members to cart home). Emily had organised a surprise birthday extravaganza for me and so Wednesday night I met her in town and she took me...

Rebecca in the World: Spring Showers...April Snow brings May Sleet?

http://rebeccakeegan.blogspot.com/2008/04/spring-showersapril-snow-brings-may.html

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Spring Showers.April Snow brings May Sleet? There really is no such thing as "normal weather" anymore, is there? Natural phenomena aside, life also follows a less than "normal" path, for which I am continually grateful and thankful. Work continues at the travel store, where I am able to talk to people about traveling and often am invited to go along! The weather will hopefully grow warmer. In the meantime, I am taking off for San Diego for a few days to get some sun!

Rebecca in the World: Sunny Spring!!

http://rebeccakeegan.blogspot.com/2008/04/sunny-spring.html

Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Travel. Yes. Like a rock star? This is new. I have a new friend, and my friend has a great job. The difficulty is that if I want to see this friend, I have to travel to where he is. So where is he? Last week, at the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego. Next week? As I was laying in the sun at the pool, getting a much-needed tan (which promptly faded after I showered! No Did it make me feel kind of superficial and unworthy of so much luxury? Yes Was I enjoying the hell out of it?

Rebecca in the World: Mexico / Resortland

http://rebeccakeegan.blogspot.com/2008/05/mexico-resortland.html

Monday, May 26, 2008. I spent 16 days in fancy resorts in Mexico with my friend Ryan who is a private investigator of hospitality. While he worked, I tanned. It was an experience that was both exactly what I expected and completely surprising. I had anticipated being pampered and feeling strange about it, but I hadn't expected the level of luxury or the deep deep feelings that I would have. It was interesting to be there with Ryan, who is a wonderful person and friend with whom I share absolutely nothing...

Rebecca in the World: March 2007

http://rebeccakeegan.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 16, 2007. February 24- March 13. Tuesday night I went out with the assistants, but I ended spending the whole evening drinking and playing darts with Jerome, Nico, Bob, and Benjamin. We had a great night! Friday night, I entered into a ridiculously profound philosophical conversation with my friend Gary. It made me happy, and feel like I haven't lost my edge! And plenty of wine. We continued with coffee, and I found myself with David and David, just talking until 6 in the evening. We had cr...

Monday, August 06, 2007. Sitting together on a train, traveling through the Canadian Rockies, was an American guy, a Canadian guy, a little old Greek lady, and a young blonde girl with large breasts. The train goes into a dark tunnel and a few seconds later there is the sound of a loud slap. When the train emerges from the tunnel, the American has a bright red hand print on his cheek. The little old Greek lady thinks: The American guy must have groped the blonde in the dark and she slapped his cheek.
