My experiences with day to day development. PowerShell – Automatically Download Large files via SFTP. May 17, 2014. Recently I had a requirement to download large binary files automatically over SFTP so I turned to PowerShell as a scheduled task and came up with this solution. Finally, it logged all files downloaded plus timespan in seconds taken to retrieve them and beginning and end times. It’s been working pretty seemlessly for the last few days so I thought I’d share.
