My Place 4 Tea - - - - -. Thursday, May 23, 2013. Trash To Treasure Headboard. I was running errands few weeks ago when I spotted this curbside find. It was sitting on top of a pile of broken furniture. It had pieces of broken mirror still stuck to it. it looked like it was part of a vanity table or something. I wasn't sure what I would do with it. and almost left it there, but something told me to bring it home. Here is the before picture. I removed the bottom trim and saved it for another project.

A good friend wrote and asked me to share something I've been working on, so I've put up a sachet I embroidered recently. My friend and I used to paint together in Romania. She is a wonderfully brave painter, and I've never forgotten her advice to me… Paint as if you have no shame. Some would disagree with this, but the notion of leaving behind inhibition during the creative process makes sense to me. Patience is the hardest.

Mr Advani had told me that Dr. Sadiq was an orthopaedic doctor and his friend. Also, that he lived in old Lucknow, was a direct descendant of Wajid Ali Shah and owner of a couple of original paintings from that time. The galli (narrow lane)with Dr. Sadiq’s house on the right. An old brass samovar in the verandah.
