The Big Green Chair: The long seperation is over
http://cfnbc.blogspot.com/2007/05/long-seperation-is-over.html
The Big Green Chair. Random musings from The Big Green Chair. Saturday, May 19, 2007. The long seperation is over. The return of the Mission team has taken place and there are smiles all around. They arrived on time, if even a tad early from Houston where they had to change planes. The spouses were there to welcome back their better halves and it was joyous. Now I don't want to start a debate about the healing nature of God, or His timing or sovereignty but me staying home seemed fortuitous.

The Big Green Chair: November 2005
http://cfnbc.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The Big Green Chair. Random musings from The Big Green Chair. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Last night, Pastor John Fehlen, our Tuesday night speaker encouraged us to commit to a life of sincere and pure faith. Using Paul's second letter to the Corinthians as a jumping off point (II Cor 11:1-4), John encouraged us to maintain our Devotion. Less we become Distracted. And end up being Divorced. From our True Love. Are we emotional, yes but our motivation is the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Now tha...

The first flurry of visitors and events of the summer have passed and we return to work today tired but oh so happy. We went to Carrie's grad which kicked off this visit frenzy and just returned from a camping week (four days really) in the Olympic National Park with Sue's folks. Now it is back to work and it piled up while we were playing. I will try though and update more. Links to this post. The wh...

My thoughts when I have a moment to think. Where I’ve Been…. August 31, 2007. Like I said in the last blog, I wanted to tell you some more about my grandmother because she was one of the great ones (picture above–isn’t she so cute? My grandparents made everyone feel like part of the family, as though there were no limit to the number of people that could belong. They were surrogant parents to many and I truly believe they didn’t have the word ‘judgement’ in their vocabulary (so rare...In 1960 my grandmot...

The Big Green Chair. Welcome pilgram, pull up a chair. Does anything ever stay the same? As a family, this will go down as one of the top years for change in our collective lives. At the same time, our daughter has been “head hunted” away from her first major employer after a nine year run. It will take some time to get used to her new place and I will never be able to see the green siren logo without thinking of her. However, she makes the move willingly and with great anticipation.
