Something to Reed: April 2011

http://www.somethingtoreed.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Written by Rudyard Kipling for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Quoted by Ezra Taft Benson in “ Beware of Pride. God of our fathers, known of old—. Lord of our far-flung battle line—. Beneath whose awful hand we hold. Dominion over palm and pine—. Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,. Lest we forget—lest we forget! The tumult and the shouting dies—. The Captains and the Kings depart—. Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,. An humble and a contrite heart.

Something to Reed: Welcome to 2011

http://www.somethingtoreed.blogspot.com/2011/01/welcome-to-2011.html

Saturday, January 8, 2011. We hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. Christmas came and went too soon, but chaperoning the multi-stake youth dance let New Year’s Eve linger on and on. It was fun, and we were thankful we weren’t on the cleanup crew. Don’t worry about the holiday cookies, candies, chocolates, baking, meals, and snacking. They’ll be gone before you know it, as will the pounds they probably brought. Happy New Year to you as well! Sunday, December 12, 2010. The 1000th Note: Completely Not Interesting. I was hoping that the 1000th note I clipped in Evernote. Would be something interesting I could share, and… yeah. It isn’t. Our washer has decided hot means cold and cold means hot (seems like there’s a Katy Perry joke around here somewhere. But I don’t want to leave you with nothing interesting to read. How about the current Manvotional over at Art of Manliness: “Habit” by Charles Carroll Everett. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, March 14, 2010. Insurance, seat belts, and 72-hour kits. You hope you never need it, but when you need it, you’re glad you have it. A 72-hour kit shouldn’t be that daunting of an endeavor. It’s not that different from packing for a weekend getaway. First, prepare like you’re staying at the Marriott. Then make it a weekend camping. Ate food older than you are? In there while we’re making up our mind. I mean, when I’m camping? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to RSS Feed.

Just in the past week and a half she has learned to crawl and sit up and had her first time in a high chair too! She is such a quick learner and I am so proud of her! http://rossandsuzmacdonald.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Pictures, Pictures Everywhere! Happy (Really, Really Late) Easter! Thursday, July 29, 2010. So I've been thinking about coming out of the blogging hiatus for a while. I figured Ross' little bro leaving for a two year mission is as good a reason as any to return to the blogging world. I have also added a gazillion pics in some posts below to catch up- in case you're wondering what Kelsey looked like from about 10mo-now (22mos), or if you're really, really bored. =). Without a fuss. Congrats Cameron! Showi...

I guess great minds think alike =)! Here are just a few (haha) pics to catch up on the past couple months. Sorry about so many pics. First Time at the Beach:. Some Cute Faces at Softball:. Those eyes are going to be boy killers someday! And a cute laughing video- she was just going on and on! And those eyes again.

Sunday, April 26, 2009. I figured it was about time to share some Easter pics since it has been two weeks already. Here's Kelsey decked out in her Easter outfit. She's not one to smile for the camera these days since she thinks it is a big toy you are waving in her face and not letting her have/eat/play with, but I thought this was a cute picture anyway =). And finally a good close up shot after about 20 of them with her grabbing the camera. We also started her on solid foods! Here she is the very first ...

Oh, what shall I put up today? Friday, August 7, 2009. Oh, what shall I put up today? Pictures of the world's cutest baby perhaps? Sure, why not. This was Kelsey's first climbing expedition. Note the lack of oxygen tanks on the baby, though Suz could surely have used one herself. That's a cute baby. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The MacDonalds: October 2008

http://rossandsuzmacdonald.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 18, 2008. At any rate, I can't even begin to describe how nice it would be to not have to work and go to school at the same time. My brain is very tired, and aside from the artsy-fartsy part of my brain, I don't have to think (but probably should) much at work. I just think about MT skills all day long. And what will I be doing once I am EMT certified? Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Does anything happen in our lives that doesn't revolve around our daughter? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Something to Read for the Train. Reviews, folklore love, the writing life, things that go bump in the night. July 7, 2015 1 Comment. Despite their responsibility for some of the most fantastic and, in some cases, romantic fairy tales in the western world, one doesn’t usually think of the Brothers Grimm themselves as dashing figures. Sickly and studious, both brothers have more of a reputation for their industriousness than their ability to make hearts melt. But in Kate Forsyth’s new novel,. We can’t know...

A Little Something To Read

A Little Something To Read. Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Mrs Johnson smiled; holding open the glass door for the tiny me who felt a little bigger today, “What can I do for you today, Emma? 8220; Hi, Mrs. Johnson,” I smiled back, “You don't happen to have any lambskin on you, do you? 8220; Lambskin.” She looked strangely at me; what new material was I asking for this time? 8220; Shoes,” I saw her eyebrows lift, “Or a purse.”.
