life | sometimes everything girl
https://sometimeseverything.wordpress.com/2008/05/21/life
It has been awhile…. May 21, 2008. My month and a half long quest to put together my very first photography show came together with an evening that i will never forget. it was over in the blink of an eye, but it was real. and it was wonderful. possibly even more than i imagined. So many people helped and supported me with ideas, advice, and by just plain old being there. for this, i couldn’t be more grateful. when i was freaking out a time or two. Shop and slowly coming down from the high of it all.

One of the reasons for my absence. May 2, 2008. 8220;hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. you wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.” *ann lamott. For a long time, i’ve been trying to show up and do the right thing in my life. more often than not, i was unsuccessful. i was mad and bitter and felt like i deserved more. upside down. My little life is framed just the way it should be. Responses to “framed”. One of the rea...

Friday meme {part deux}. March 11, 2008. Hoping to rise above. hoping for change. for me, for you, for everyone. and that has nothing to do with politics. But, when i add politics into the equation, i’m running with the dems. That’s just me…. See what others are sharing about politics over at spc. Responses to “spc {politics 2}”. Feed for this Entry. One of the reasons for my absence. I’m not dead, just in case you were wondering. March 29, 2008. I’ve been absent around here quite a bit lately. i suppose, for a multitude of reasons. really, life is just taking me in different directions right now, and i couldn’t be more thrilled. this little blog here, has taken the backseat. and may for awhile. and i’m okay with that. I’ve also been lucky enough to spend five days of my spring break in nyc with kristen. Walked through central park. Had my breath tak...

ramblings of a waspgoddess: 100 things about me
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/02/100-things-about-me.html
Monday, February 19. 100 things about me. I’m Swedish, but I’m not blonde. And my favourite music is not Abba. My most depressing memory. Is when I was about 10 years old and the boy I had a crush on (and we’re talking major. Crush here, in fact I’m quite convinced that if I saw him now I’d still be tongue-tied) asked why I had mushroom hair. I did. Have mushroom hair (think exceptionally big and fluffy), but I was gutted nevertheless, and part of me still has not recovered. And so I practise pilates.
ramblings of a waspgoddess: Mr muscle
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/09/mr-muscle.html
Saturday, September 15. 8220;Richard asked me to look through this very interesting collection, it’s from a friend of his father’s… her husband recently passed away, and she has no idea what to do with it. It’s mostly. My father is a stamp collector, and hasn’t actually done any weight training in years (although in his youth he was very athletic and once cycled 150 km just to see a football match, and then back again at the end of the game). But he only lifts stamps now. That is a very touching story.

ramblings of a waspgoddess: The ostrich finally pulls its head out of the sand
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/09/ostrich-finally-pulls-its-head-out-of.html
Friday, September 14. The ostrich finally pulls its head out of the sand. On Monday evening I went along to a talk by Naomi Klein (author of No Logo. And more recently The Shock Doctrine: the rise of disaster capitalism. And talk about rude awakening. I've never been very interested in politics or economics, and rather than having to deal with the horridness of the world I have often preferred to stick my head in the sand. you know, out of sight out of mind. ramblings of a waspgoddess: Too much chocolate...
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/09/too-much-chocolate.html
Tuesday, September 25. My colleague went to that well-known Swedish furniture shop the other day, I'm sure you know the one I mean; famous for its flat packs and self assembly and even more famous (or is that infamous) for its useless instructions. In any case she surprised me by bringing back a giant slab of marabou chocolate (the best chocolate in the world if you ask me). Categories: Self portrait challenge. Teehee. no self-control here either. ;-). 25 September 2007 at 09:38. That really is good choc...
ramblings of a waspgoddess: Wet room dreams...
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/09/wet-room-dreams.html
Monday, September 10. So now whenever I close my eyes I see basins and shower screens and gorgeous tiles and floating toilets and underfloor heating. Trying to work is impossible, I cannot pull myself away from my lavatorial daydreams. It's becoming an obsession. This is what the bathroom looks like in our flat-to-be - definitely not my dream bathroom. This is more like it, I love the storage solution underneath the sink, it looks so elegant (although I would probably never fold the towels that neatly.
ramblings of a waspgoddess: SPC - treading with caution
http://waspgoddess.blogspot.com/2007/09/spc-treading-with-caution.html
Tuesday, September 18. SPC - treading with caution. The toilet at University College London. So it was with some trepidation I arrived for an MRI scan at University College London this morning. Despite the expected state of disrepair all went well, now I just have to keep my fingers crossed until the results come back. Categories: Self portrait challenge. I've been thinking of you today. silently hoping all would be well. I just know those results will be clear. Lovely photo. Lovely you. Ps sent email too.

A Displaced Southern Belle
Saturday, November 28, 2009. Thursday, November 26, 2009. On this Thanksgiving morn, I'm watching an episode of "True Life" on MTV. I'm also making pies with homemade pie crusts. This particular show is about being a Southern Belle and guess which college campus MTV decided to use? So although I was not exactly a pariah at Ole Miss, I definitely did not fit into the mold of Southern hospitality. My peers labeled me as "Northern" because I was from Louisville, Kentucky (imagine that! I can tell you that w...

August 16, 2015. Campsite Baking And A Reflector Oven Review. We decided to try baking with a reflector oven on our recent paddle-in trip to The Massassauga Provincial Park. Almost all of the food we packed for the trip was dehydrated, and most of it was prepackaged meals we bought from an outdoors store. So, the idea of freshly baked goodies to compliment our meals or have as a snack had us very excited. Links to this post. Gear and Product Reviews. August 12, 2015. A walk on the wildlife side. tamed by rock n' roll
Tamed by rock n' roll. A girl and her tunes. Sunday, November 13, 2011. Friends, I'm sure you have all realized this by now, but seriously Spotify has got to be one of the most amazing musical concepts ever. I LOVE it. Based solely on a Spotify commercial, I was informed that the artists still get profits from this site. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but if it is, I feel much less guilty using it. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. BIG NEWS: I'm learning the mandolin! I know you're jealous, right? So far...

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A few things we've enjoyed this spring:. Matt's sister Melinda and her family are actually moving back this summer . . . yahoo! Kate's 5th birthday. I never met a girl so excited to go to school. Anniversary getaway with Matt and a yummy dinner at La Dolce Vita in Provo. We treated ourselves to giant strawberry daiquiris. St Patrick's day dinner. Late, but green nonetheless. Irish soda bread and corned beef hash are so yummy! Our favorite springtime dessert, strawberry shortcake!

Saturday, January 12, 2013. I've written about my love of champagne. But now it's time to write about champagne flutes. I think they're the most fashionable glassware. And yes, I think about these kinds of things. Here are some of my favorite vessels for champagne consumption:. Robert Mondavi flutes by Waterford. You can never go wrong with a classic crystal flute. $50/pair. Edge Flute from Crate and Barrel. A modern twist on the classic flute. $12.95/glass. Monday, December 24, 2012. Here's how it goes:.
