It took a couple weeks to find the land that met all the requirements we wanted. It was 5 acres located in the North Country of Upstate NY. One thousand miles from where we were living at the time. Hạ Long Bay makes the list of top destinations in Vietnam for its scenic landscape made up of almost 2,000 limestone islets and turquoise-blue water. August 28, 2016. After an hour and a half flight from Siem Reap to Hanoi, we began the final leg of our three week journey. We planned to spend 4 days in Hanoi followed by a 3 day trip to Ha Long Bay.
