Monday, July 27, 2015. July 7 - 21, 2015 : : The Trent-Severn Waterway, Trenton to Port Severn. After we obtained our rental car from Enterprise we were off to Toronto to pick up Mike and Sue Morris. They were joining us in our travels from Trenton up the Trent-Severn Waterway. Mike and Sue started the first day as "deck-hands" and then graduated to operating SONATA on the waterway. Through the lakes, past St. Peter's Church on the Rock . Bonnie is resting while Sue, Mike, and Charlie pilot SONAT...Throu...

Friday, August 26, 2011. August 22-26, 2011 . . . Leland, Michigan. Soon after we arrived in Leland, with strong winds blowing, a sail boat, COCOMO, started to enter the harbor and turned too wide. In that turn a wave picked up the boat and set it aground on the nearby sandy beach. Each wave afterwards pushed it further ashore and closer to the rocky-breakwall. BIG TOW, a local tow service, attempted to pull the boat off, pulling on the bow. First pull attempts . . . unsuccessful. Monday, August 22, 2011.

Sunday, April 29, 2012. April 27 - May 4, 2012 . . . Georgetown to Belhaven; stops in Myrtle Beach, Joyner, Swansboro, and Oriental. Only a few remain on the waterways; and old-fashioned cable-pull-across-the-water- ferry. Before we leave South Carolina and enter into North Carolina on the way to Georgetown for an overnight. Next, a disabled boat by the swing bridge at Myrtle Beach being assisted by Tow BoatUS. In the Cape Fear River we passed a sea-bound container carrier out of the Port of Wilmington.
