Heart of a runner, body of a mother: September 2009
http://micki75.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Heart of a runner, body of a mother. Monday, September 21, 2009. Wednesday is the big day. The day I start my new job as a medical technician, that is! I go in tomorrow to fill out a few employee papers and watch a new employee video. Then my first official shift starts at 6 am Wednesday. I don't know how I will sleep the night before! Probably not very well, but that's OK. I just can't wait to get started! OK, more later. Night! Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Another reason to blog less. I have been run...

Heart of a runner, body of a mother: July 2009
http://micki75.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Heart of a runner, body of a mother. Monday, July 6, 2009. Oh, how things have changed since the last time I blogged! I met my older half-sister for the first time. Ever. She wrote Dad (we share the same father) a letter a few weeks ago, sparking a chain of events that included their first meeting in 37 years (she's 39 now). I got to meet her and her family little more than a week ago, and had a great time! Kara completed her first session of swim lessons. Let me tell you, this girl is a fish! Maybe I sh...

Heart of a runner, body of a mother: The 15-minute run
http://micki75.blogspot.com/2009/05/15-minute-run.html
Heart of a runner, body of a mother. Sunday, May 3, 2009. I went running today for the first time in almost a month. I have been maega-stressed lately, and when I get really stressed (and down) I tend to not want to run. I know, those are the times I should get out and run off some steam, but that's not what happens. We'll be going to the pool a lot this summer! Distance: 1.27 miles. Rookie on the Run. Congratulations on the job! Good for you for getting a run in! May 4, 2009 at 11:48 AM. March 15, 2009.

Eternal Sunshine of the Running Mind: July 2008
http://schumph-runningwild.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Eternal Sunshine of the Running Mind. Saturday, July 26, 2008. I am currently on vacation so the opportunities to attend to my blog are few and far between. With some input from Keith, I have changed my running philosophy for the short term and am focusing a little on long slow distance for the time being. Last weekend I did a 17 miler and this week my runs were 8, 10 and 20 miles - all at my long slow distance pace. There was one exception. Friday, July 18, 2008. 365 Days - Approximately. I took yesterd...

Eternal Sunshine of the Running Mind: 9 Days, 7 hours, 17 minutes
http://schumph-runningwild.blogspot.com/2009/04/9-days-7-hours-17-minutes.html
Eternal Sunshine of the Running Mind. Friday, April 10, 2009. 9 Days, 7 hours, 17 minutes. This final stretch before the big "B" is a little strange. I actually found myself getting nervous about a week ago, but that seems to have passed through me and I feel incredibly relaxed about it now. I have some times in mind in terms of how I would like to finish. but I will keep those to myself for now in case I change my mind. Wow, you're getting close! April 10, 2009 at 6:30 PM. Get well really soon! View my ...

Amanda does the Exercise Thing. The Courage to Start. The Strength to Endure. The Resolve to Finish. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Holy shite it's been awhile. I'm amazed how much my personal habits have changed since the last post. interesting. I quit smoking. I started boxing. I kept cycling. I gave up running. Most relevant though - my life has gotten about 600x busier. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Community Bicycle Network Toronto. Friends for Life Bike Rally. Jeff Galloway's Marathon Program.

Amanda does the Exercise Thing....: July 2009

Amanda does the Exercise Thing. The Courage to Start. The Strength to Endure. The Resolve to Finish. Monday, July 20, 2009. I met a lovely, funny, fantastically conversational woman on a ride a few weeks ago who sympathized with the lack of a granny ring on my bike. Vocab: A granny ring would be a third chain ring, the little one that you would switch to so you can climb hills on the bike by spinning quickly, using your aerobic energy rather than your strength and wrecking your knees). Recable the brakes, ...

http://schumph-runningwild.blogspot.com/2009/03/three-weeks-to-go.html
Eternal Sunshine of the Running Mind. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Three Weeks to Go. I have been extremely tardy in posting lately, however, it just hasn't been happening for some reason. That said, training has been going well for the most part. Yesterday, I ran my final big long run in preparation for Boston; a twenty miler. The next 3 weeks will fly by! Having a bit of friendly competition is a great motivation - here's to hoping you both PR! March 30, 2009 at 2:17 PM. March 31, 2009 at 9:03 PM.
