Rather Than Working: For the First Time...
http://ratherthanworking.blogspot.com/2008/09/for-first-time.html
Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Thursday, September 11, 2008. For the First Time. This morning, I didn’t remember what happened about 8:30 am a few years back at that time. I was late getting out of the house and didn’t think about it till about ten minutes to nine, about the time I was landing at the Newark airport that Tuesday. If you want to read about what I saw and did that week, you can go to these links:. More Agressive...

Rather Than Working: November 2011
http://ratherthanworking.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Sunday, November 06, 2011. In Search of Burgundy. Hey, sorry for my absence. I’ve been busy. I had an unusually busy summer and fall at work. More importantly for this post, I’ve been playing in the freefalling real estate market. In August I had dinner with a friend who is a real estate agent and we got talking about the market. Looking into it, I realized that prices were very, very low. Usual...

Rather Than Working: Death at the Hands of Government
http://ratherthanworking.blogspot.com/2011/10/death-at-hands-of-government.html
Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Death at the Hands of Government. No, this isn’t about the death penalty. It appears a couple of Iranian guys, one with U.S. Citizenship and one connected to the Iranian government plotted to kill a Saudi Ambassador and got caught. We are officially incensed and Iran is officially dismissive. Whether or not we and the other side should be, we are in a guerilla war.

Rather Than Working: Gotta Love Republicans
http://ratherthanworking.blogspot.com/2011/10/gotta-love-republicans.html
Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Sunday, October 02, 2011. The Washington Post had a sort of expose article today on Rick Perry’s maybe, kinda racist years in the wilds of Texas. It seems his father rented a “hunting camp” in the early eighties. We all have our prejudices, I just find that Republicans, when caught, are especially humorous when squirming away from the light thrown on them. 8:05 PM, October 02, 2011. I think we n...

The author thinks we are doomed. I'm inclined to agree. If you read it today and aren't too depressed to carry on, enjoy the holiday. http://sonjasmom.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. A few ramdon (silly) things about ME. My favorite color is blue. I have never worn false eyelashes. My favorite ice cream is butter brickel (they don’t make it anymore). I view numbers as an ascending ladder. My greatest achievement in life was having two remarkable, but different, children. I have beautiful feet. I am extremely organized. Meatloaf" is my favorite artist. I love the scent of Gardenias. I love Orchids but hate waiting for them to bloom. I need to lose 20 lb.

Sonja's Mom Speaks: May 2010
http://sonjasmom.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 20, 2010. Rush Limbaugh is an Idiot! Rush Limbaugh said that the Sierra Club is responsible for the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He says they have forced drilling off the land and far, far out into the Gulf where it is more difficult and dangerous to drill. I thought they were drilling in the Gulf because that's where the oil was. Apparently I am wrong. Seriously Rush - The Sierra Club? Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Let's All Bow Our Heads. Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Sunday, September 18, 2011. Goldilocks and Class Warfare. Goldilocks said the porridge was “just right.”. President Obama is talking about fair shares of taxation and the Republicans are shouting that he’s engaging in class warfare. He probably is - I’m sure more of his potential voters next year are not millionaires than are. And from the evidence, I think he’s right. Will Google, Microsoft, al...

Rather Than Working: It Takes a Village
http://ratherthanworking.blogspot.com/2011/10/it-takes-village.html
Comments, and on my pretentious days, essays, on what on a given day interests, amuses, annoys or outrages me. Saturday, October 08, 2011. It Takes a Village. While I’m totally disillusioned with the President; and, I don’t think the Democrats have clue as to what to do to solve our economic problems; and, the Republicans seem to be consumed with being against anything the President, and his wife while at Target, do, there are some things they all could do, which they won’t. The people in Afghanistan and...
