This pic is looking south and it is sloped toward the west. And this one is toward the north.Started with this size but have room to make it longer and a bit wider.For now there is just Corn growing on this one bed ,and another bed was made after this pic was taken witch has a few ocra and cantelope plants ,will post later. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Swale with terraced garden project. This is going to be a long project , as it is a learn as I go. These pictures where added in July 2011 from April 2011 pics. This is going to be an experiment with terraced gardens.Plenty of room and slope to make quite a few terraces starting at the top where the deep swale is for water catchment . The Swale will be elongated and made deeper to catch more water,(rain run off ) and it will be pumped to containers for later use.
