Knitted Alternately on a Sofa: Monmouth Cap
http://blog.sharonmattnadia.com/2007/05/monmouth-cap.html
Knitted Alternately on a Sofa. Monday, May 14, 2007. It seems fitting that the first entry should celebrate a first finished object. These two hats were made from the same pattern, same yarn, same needles. One new knitter (Matt) determined to strangle the yarn. One experienced knitter (Sharon) exploring Continental knitting for the very first time. Lamb's Pride Bulky (85% wool, 15% mohair) in M77 Blue Magic or M03 Gray Heather; 125 yards per skein. Knitted plain until hat is 5 1/2" (rather than 5") and t...

Knitted Alternately on a Sofa. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Building a Modern Calliope. I am thrilled and honored to have my Calliope brioche socks. Published by Twist Collective. Even though the pattern bears my name, it’s amazing how of a collaborative work it really is, what with yarn choice, editing, layout, photography, and modelling. And a rocking sample knitter. On Ravelry) who made the red and purple socks, which totally sell the pattern. There’s no way of knowing, of course. One can on...So, I t...

Knitted Alternately on a Sofa. Thursday, November 14, 2013. Keeping Our Skies Safe From Jam - At Only a Very Minor Risk of Botulism. My checked bag was inspected by the TSA yesterday and I was deeply impressed by their vigilance. They risked life and limb to tear off the produce bag impeding a clear visualization of every single one of 16 small jars of home-canned jam, to make sure they weren’t… [NOTE TO SELF: what? Knitted Alternately on a Sofa: April 2013
http://blog.sharonmattnadia.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Knitted Alternately on a Sofa. Sunday, April 28, 2013. Just-Right Microwave Porridge for the Up-To-Date Bear. The recipe makes 2 full breakfasts for adults to whom breakfast is important. It can stretch to 3-4 if some of the persons are smaller or less peckish, or as part of a larger meal. Mix dry ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl:. 1/3 cup thick-cut rolled oats. 1/3 cup oat bran. 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk (amount may vary by brand - use the equivalent of 1 1/2 cup fresh milk). Some citrus juice and zest.
Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups: Octo-Cebulski

Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups. Monday, January 28, 2013. Guest writer Matt once again. Another birthday cake! This was a variant on Mrs. Cebulski's Druid Sacrifice. The only changes to the recipe were in the raisin filling. The octopus mosaic was created with sulphured and unsulphured crystallized ginger, with raisins for eyes. Combine in small saucepan:. 1 1/2 cups raisins (packed). Zest of 1/2 lemon. 1 tsp lemon juice. Cover and boil 1-2 minutes. Posted by sharonmattnadia at 8:36 PM. Links to this post:.
Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups: January 2009

Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. This is Matt's traditional birthday cake. I will never, ever get to make him any other kind of cake for his birthday. Fortunately, the Dear Abby Cake is both delicious and beautiful. The recipe was originally published in Dear Abby's advice column. I have added a lot of my own annotations. Use them to help prevent doming. Avoid non-stick pans because the cake will dome more and cook too quickly because of the dark coating.). Add to double boiler:.

Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups. Saturday, July 2, 2011. Any baker can use sugar to make a cake, but it takes highly specialized knowledge to use cake to make sugar. We at Babbler labs are here to show you how. We built this assemblage to celebrate the graduation of a friend who is a newly minted high school chemistry teacher. No one in the crowd was an organic chemist, though, so it took a little while for the creation to be identified as sucrose. I used a recipe from Gourmet magazine. The cakes spread out a ...

Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. We made this dragon cake for a young friend's first birthday. It was one of our more difficult collaborations. Matt wanted a flying, twisted, fire-breathing serpent. I wanted something that I felt confident we could achieve in cake. We produced a vast number of sketches, and very nearly ended up making the cake into a representation of . . . a nicely frosted 13x9 rectangle. We made the double chocolate sheet cake from Cooks Illustrated. We used a dou...
Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups: Arctic Circle
http://cake.sharonmattnadia.com/2012/02/arctic-circle.html
Cut-Up Cakes for Grownups. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Guest written by Matt). For the cake, I thought a snowy theme throughout might be unwelcome, so I opted for tropical flavors. I used the Pineapple Cake recipe from the 1953 Joy of Cooking. The only modifications I made were:. Added zest of 1/2 orange. Added a pinch of ground cloves. Made a 2/3 recipe, cooked in a 9" round pan plus a 4" round ramekin. The captain of icebreaker Healy,. When given her mission, said, "Really? Ten weeks from home. Washing...

June 19, 2014. We live inside our perceptions, sensory and extra-sensory. Rods and Cones the photoreceptors that provide a common visual perception, ears tuned to a short range of common frequency, taste buds that give us agreed up sweet , sour and salt, skin that provides tactile interaction. But to perceive seven billion heartbeats, seven billion breathing, to be in tune with the constant thought of those same seven billion, is a perception which is reserved. June 19, 2014. June 29, 2015. Although I felt her introduction to be a little absurd, I mean where did your father took transfer from? What does he do? Why do you want to be our friend? 8221;I simply nodded . We bid goodbye as I made it to my home. Playtime was such a mode of refreshment from those boring books. That night when I was preparing a science project,I peeked in my window. It was pitch dark outside but slightly raining and something startled me again. A white figured, spooky creature again in the mid...The d...

A place where recovering Shakespeare scholars go to discuss the news of the world in the form of classic Shakespearean sonnets. Do join the fun! Pretty sweet racket, if you ask me. This one was kind of hard to write for some reason. There are only two actual Shakespeare references in there – the obvious one (MacBeth) and one other one, from Henry VI.III. I probably could have done better, but I was already three hours into it and really needed to get back to work, so …. Lo, taxpay'rs, yield; with me th'a...

Gewoo...

Weg van de minste weerstand?! Leven met een gastric bypass | A great WordPress.com site
Weg van de minste weerstand? Leven met een gastric bypass. A great WordPress.com site. 8216;The easy way’ versus karakter. Sporten, mijn hobby! Dat moet op karakter! Wel is het risico dat het op e...
