Random Observations: The Mum in Me
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2011/09/mum-in-me.html
Monday, 26 September 2011. The Mum in Me. If you know me, or read the little bio that appears on this page, you'll know that I'm a mum. My journey to and through motherhood has been an interesting one, it took me a while to find my niche, and become completely comfortable with the mum in me. I guess I'm writing this post for anyone else who might identify with some of the things I'm about to say. Approach. If he says 'giraffe', we go to a zoo, if he says 'dinosaurs' we go to the Natural History Museu...

Random Observations: December 2010
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 December 2010. D is for Dating. By some random fluke of events, I've managed to get myself well and truly back into the dating game. It's been a long time and I'd forgotten what a random and strange world it is. And at 30, I seem to have a lot more confidence than I did when I was 25. Wish me luck people, I think I might need it. Random Observations: April 2012
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 April 2012. The customer is always right. We've all experienced good and bad customer service, be it face-to-face, on the phone or through written correspondence. I frequently experience dodgy customer service from First Capital Connect, who generally dislike sharing useful information. A cheque for the full amount arrived four days later. But there was no letter apologising. I would never use British Gas again, even if their gas cost 1p a year. Tuesday, 10 April 2012. Until recently I was e...

Random Observations: March 2011
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 19 March 2011. It's been a while since I had a rant. This is mainly because 2011 has been rather good so far, and so I've had less time to whinge and/or be a miserable so and so. 2011 is still good, but today I got quite annoyed by the behaviour of other people, and feel the need to have a moan about it. All that said, I had a nice lunch. And was rather smug when the lady on the table next to us turned to my boy and said, 'Aren't you lovely and well-behaved'. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Random Observations: February 2011
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 3 February 2011. I read a lot of 'chick-lit'. You can judge me for this if you wish, but I like it because it's easy-going on the old brain cells and keeps me entertained on the train. I just finished a book called The Last Anniversary. Highly recommended as a good read, especially if you like a bit of mystery thrown in with your usual hapless single girl saga. Random Observations: December 2011
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 27 December 2011. 2011: A Year in Review. World at large highlights. The last Harry Potter film. Take That Progress tour. Yes, I am a teenage boy). The Royal Wedding (day off, excuse to eat cake). Seeing my son play a narrator in the nativity. Nobilo at Billy's (many episodes). London Zoo in the rain. Parent's evening (where my son got an excellent report and I cried with joy). A lot of Costa. Accidentally gate-crashing the launch of a soft porn website. Discovering bronzer and fake tan.

Random Observations: November 2011
http://veryrandomobservations.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 7 November 2011. Putting the 'X' back into the X Factor. This year's X Factor. Hasn't exactly been mind-blowing, has it? Ratings are dropping like mad, and even the total yawn-fest that is Strictly Come Dancing has commanded a larger audience some weeks. If you don't believe me. Oh, and Paula Abdul throwing up. Because an auditionee exposed himself was one of the TV highlights of the year. So how can the UK's version get back on track? I had some ideas. Some easily achievable, others less so:.
