The public is invited to a free lecture on Birds and Climate Change presented by the Sonoran Audubon Society at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at the West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 5904 W. Cholla Street (west off 59th Avenue, south of Cactus). Membership in the Society is not required. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Sunflower and Mt. Ord- The Trek for #300 Begins! I didn't take as many photos as I should have, I was more focused on getting everyone else the best views and photos of as many birds as possible. Lesser Goldfinches had to be the most numerous species of the day. Before long we finally saw our first flyover hawk, and it was a Zone-tailed!
