Rpg reviews, solo plays and other stuff I think about. The Black Hack resources. RPGaDay2015 – Day 13: Favorite RPG podcast. I have some really nice podcasts on my Android phone to listen to. The first podcast I listened to was Happy Jacks Podcast. They have really great tips for running games, making better characters etc. for all kind of games. Sadly, the episodes last quite long and I got tired of all the chatter. People always recommend Ken and Robin talk about stuff. As my favorite. It’s (...RPGaDay...

It’s Asian flavored but also post-apocalyptic/horror. Strictly speaking no samurais and katanas. While writing this article, I also found Flying Swordsmen.

The GameMaster’s Apprentice (Mini-Review) — die heart

Rpg reviews, solo plays and other stuff I think about. The Black Hack resources. The GameMaster’s Apprentice (Mini-Review). The GameMaster’s Apprentice? A funny name for a little card-based tool. I playtested this yesterday had a lot of fun. It is a set of 60 poker-sized double printed cards with tons of random generators. At the same time, it’s a “GM-emulator” which you can use for solo role-playing. Each card contains 14. That’s a lot. Thus, you get a lot of material to choose from. Or Tangent Zero Dice.

#RPGaDay2015 – Day 10: Favorite RPG publisher — die heart
http://dieheart.net/rpgaday2015-10
Rpg reviews, solo plays and other stuff I think about. The Black Hack resources. RPGaDay2015 – Day 10: Favorite RPG publisher. There are some great bigger publishers in the RPG industry but also there are many wonderful small one-man-show-publishers (yes, it’s more men than women but we have more men than women in this industry, right? My favorite “indie” publisher is Paolo Greco/Lost Pages. It’s a small firm located in the UK. Paolo concentrates on o ld school role-playing. Also, Cthonic Codex. Paolo is...

#RPGaDay2015 – Day 11: Favorite RPG writer — die heart
http://dieheart.net/rpgaday2015-10-2
Rpg reviews, solo plays and other stuff I think about. The Black Hack resources. RPGaDay2015 – Day 11: Favorite RPG writer. There are lots of good writers/designers out there. For today, I’m voting for Avery McDaldno from Buried Without Ceremony. Because she wrote interesting games like Monsterhearts. And The Quiet Year. Which have brought new things to the table (theme-wise or mechanics-wise). Sadly, it looks like she doesn’t write games anymore. August 11, 2015. Header image credit: photo by Nattu.
