Originally began at the Jordu Schell 3 day sculpture class I reworked the sculpt in my own time as well as learning new techniques such as moulding, casting and painting silicone. Monday, 7 January 2013. Personal Project - Gear stick. Return of the claw. Once in position I poured smoothcast 300 inside and allowed that to set, then I carefully opened the mould and realised not enough smoothcast was inside so I topped it up and fully demoulded it. I cleaned up the seams and added milliput which is a 2 part epoxy putty to build up the bottom as I was only casting a small section of the mould I didn't want it to be flat. I also used the milliput to build up any air bubbles.
