Altered thought process r/t nursing school. Sunday, January 10, 2010. I don't know how you're always calm and collected, always in control." -frazzled family member of a 1-month-LOS patient. I notice if you make an effort to know your patients, the days get better and they tend to work with you more. Being social helps. Laughing, making jokes helps, too. Depends on the patient, but the effort should be made. I can't imagine sitting in a room- all white walls, day in and day out, makes you go crazy.

Altered thought process r/t nursing school. Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Just as a treat and a break for myself, I went with my friend to the nail salon for a mani/pedi. The last time I went was like 6 months ago! My fiance knows and unfortunately, I took out some of the stress on him earlier this week. But, he gets why I'm so crazed. I did find out that working out more often definitely helps me cope with stress. Friday, January 16, 2009. All I can say is, WHEWWWW. THANK GOD I CLEARED THAT UP!

Feb 8- my grandma, who was in the Philippines at the time, passed away suddenly. Feb 12- I took the NCLEX in 2 hours with 75 questions. I left the test feeling good about it.
