Our hiking adventures started many years ago with short day trips in and around San Diego County. Soon we were taking yearly trips to the Grand Canyon and Mount Whitney (the highest point in the lower 48 states. In 1995, along with a group of our friends, we traveled to Africa and climbed Mt.
