Saturday, February 13, 2010. Gotta do more than walk-n-wave. We watched part of the Opening Ceremonies last night. As per usual, I got a bit choked up watching the Olympic Athletes march into the arena. I explained, "They have worked so hard to get there! They have trained and practiced a lot, and NOW HERE THEY ARE! Eric frowned as he carefully watched them walk and wave, then decided, "I don't think they had to practice THAT much.". Let me get this straight: Today, for Annika and MAMA day, you want to play salon and tell me to be the SALON LADY so that you can pretend you HAVE NO MOMMY and ask THE SALON LADY to be your new MOMMY. But we had a great time doing fingernails, hair, makeup, and applying random liquids with bits of cotton. She did my makeup and hair afterward. I smell like a watermelon, after having been the recipient of half a bottle of tangle-free spray. :) she likes to spray stuff.

The funny thing is that Nana had given Papa a Bop-It for Father's Day and Eric HATED it! H-A-T-E-D it. He tried so hard not to cry but he was clearly WAY anxious, chewing his shirt and looking at it nervously. When Papa "lost" and it went AAAWWWOAH! And I laughed out loud. Let's go to the video. Monday, December 10, 2012. Thanksgiving in STL '12. We had a fun time in St. Louis for Thanksgiving. Some highlights:. Playing outside in near 60 degree temps. Riding bikes, toys, jumping on the "pool trampoline". 7 kids, age 4 and under, all under 1 roof. Everyone was relatively healthy! The very crowded magic house (bonus points for Gigi and Didu). It is less than a mile from our house and in the cold MN winters, it has been brilliant for the kids to have a place to expend copious amounts of energy outside of our small house.
