Sound Fly Fishing Reports Blog. Friday, February 25, 2011. Cold Cold Cold. That is how the last few weeks have been on the water. Most steelhead rivers are closed around here so we are staying plenty busy. Thanks guys! We are pretty much booked for seaplane trips in July and most of August. Fly patterns that have been working well now are flat wings, clousers and 1 and 1/2 to 2 inch baitfish in any color. Fish are hungry and will take anything right now.keep your fly in the water. This has been witnessed in the south Puget Sound by us but we have had a few reports from clients who have soon some in the north Puget Sound. We only have one day left in march, Tuesday the 29th.
