Sunday, August 28, 2011. Not Your Momma's Home Fries. Given a sweet potato I usually cut it up into wedges and pop under the broil for a quick "french fry." But with a bit more time on my hands and no where to go thanks to the weather, I decided to make home-fries but using a sweet potato to kick up the nutritional value. Not Your Momma's home fries. Yield: 1 large serving, 2 small. 1 sweet potato cut into small cubes. 1 bell pepper (I used a lilac pepper). 1/2 of a small onion. Oliver oil to coat pan.

Thursday, March 31, 2011. What I go through to save money in New York. It's cold and rainy (so much for March going out like a lamb), but I was in desperate need for groceries. When I need to completely restock I try to do so at Trader Joe's for the most part and Whole Foods for the rest. The local grocery stores are way too expensive for the food I eat. 3 bags of groceries 1 large purse (a walk from the bus 3 Aves 4 blocks long) = a workout of it's own! Anyhow, lots of goodies :).
