So, the local PBS affiliate television station hired me to instruct a group of Irish exchange students in a ten week course on television production. The students were part of an outreach program sponsored by the Tyrone Donegal Partnership. And hosted by Daytona State College. It was a fantastic experience. basically these students a two year program crammed into ten weeks. And only part of it involved television production. You live and learn. At any rate, you live. Segment 2 of 3: Rhythm of Life.

There is this contest called the 48-hour Film Contest (or some such) that the Actors' Circle and I entered. A very simple premise. You are given a genre, a character, a prop, and a line and then 48 hours to write, cast, film, edit, and deliver a six minute video. We didn't win but that was a great two days. What is a friend? A few years ago I had the opportunity to get involved with a group of actors that were starting what all-in-all was a brilliant but of self education. Called the actors' Circle, they (at least part of what they did) got together every couple of months and created a short film. The producer had the bright idea of submitting it to a film festive where it won Best Comedy. Very exciting. They who thing was shot in one day using inexperienced actors as crew. A late Night Letter.
