https://landofsticks.wordpress.com/2016/04/17/chocolate-chip-cookies
17 April, 2016. This is the recipe I make most often as they’re relatively quick and very tasty. Geocaching – Land of Sticks
https://landofsticks.wordpress.com/2014/05/24/geocaching
24 May, 2014. 24 May, 2014. Back in 2009 I discovered Geocaching. I thought it was just a US based thing but when I brought up the geocaching map I saw there were lots of caches near where I live, including one in the field right behind my house. I was fascinated, but I had no GPS device so I was never able to get any further than being fascinated. Later that week I bought my own GPS device. I’m officially hooked. I’ve been out caching 6 times in the past 2 weeks. Sometimes alone but ...Love reading how ...

Mad Hatter www.madhatterbrewing.co.uk. A really frothy tanned head with a dense black body. You can actually see the the light being sucked into the darkness, it’s that thick. 15 March, 2012. I’ve been trying to write this post for days, but I’m afraid it just makes me sound like some odd hippie witch wierdo. I’ve told people about it in the past and I’m sure it’s the conclusion they come to. I’m odd, and a bit of a hippie, and possibly a wierdo, but the witchcraft… Continue reading Clairvoyant Hippie Witch. About – Land of Sticks
https://landofsticks.wordpress.com/about
Thanks for visiting my infrequently updated blog. More than 2 posts a year and I’m doing well. I expect you clicked the “About” page to learn something about me. I’m 30 something, I live in the north of England. I’m Mum to Goblin and her little brother Frog. I’m married to Blokey. We live in a little house which I romantically refer to as being on the edge of a moor. Which is true… it’s just less romantic pointing out we’re also on an ex-council estate. Why Goblin and Frog? Goblin is a nickname I used wh...

Mum, crafter, health professional, and a bit random. If at first you don’t succeed…. 24 April, 2016. Today I finally achieved something I’ve been trying to do for over a year. I finally found a cache in my local park. I first looked for this cache back in February last year. At the time I got distracted by a log with a hole drilled into it so thought that was the cache… Continue reading If at first you don’t succeed…. 17 April, 2016. 25 May, 2014. 17 April, 2016. 24 May, 2014. 24 May, 2014. Crochet Poppy – Land of Sticks
https://landofsticks.wordpress.com/2014/03/15/crochet-poppy
Middot; free pattern. 15 March, 2014. The WI group I’m involved with is planning on doing some yarnbombing for Armed Forces Day. This means we need. Of poppies. I scoured the internet for poppy patterns and tried several but the problem was they were almost all designed to be worn, look pretty and for people to only make 1 or 2. I played around with several patterns, Wendy Poole’s pattern. I cast on using a magic ring. If you don’t know how to do a magic ring there’s a tutorial here. So here is the patte...

Recipes – Land of Sticks

I love baking. My go-to recipe book is The Be-Ro recipe book. I use this book about 90% of the time. I have several versions which have been published over the years and all are slightly different. However I’m not actually very good at sticking to any recipes. I use them as a guide and I tweak them a lot. I’ll link to my favourite recipe tweaks here. Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies. If at first you don’t succeed…. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Round the Merseyrail we go. Follow Blog via Email.
