It’s based on a Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe I found in one of my Be-Ro cook books but as usual for me I’ve tweaked it a little. I thought it was just a US based thing but when I brought up the geocaching map I saw there were lots of caches near where I live, including one in the field right behind my house. I love baking. My go-to recipe book is The Be-Ro recipe book. I use this book about 90% of the time. I have several versions which have been published over the years and all are slightly different. If at first you don’t succeed…. 24 April, 2016. Today I finally achieved something I’ve been trying to do for over a year. I finally found a cache in my local park. On Thursday they posted a maintenance log to say they’d been down but couldn’t get the cache themselves so a new one was in place. Today was our first chance to go down. A hero in need. 11 February, 2013. Many years ago I came across the blog of Gretel Parker. Are within my budget. Some of the books she’s illustrated are hard to come by. I ordered a copy of Pinwheel Days. From Amazon 18 months ago. It finally came into stock and I received it last month. It was worth the wait. At the weekend Gretel bravely posted about how her long term partner Andy had died suddenly. Thankfully some people know Gretel well enough to organise some help, and the Gretel Parker Project.

I’ve found 3 caches in this park already, but there’s 2 that I’ve never found and several others on a path nearby that I’ve never had chance to look for.
