Bright and early and COLD! All geared up to be taken for a day-trek by Dr Ai in areas surrounding the village. Messy sight of a cow being slaughtered by the roadside. One of the biggest temples in the vicinity that Dr Ai spent a couple of his teenaged years in. Melon break. sweet and juicy! Introducing. the Banna Belles!

After our health screening at the village, we took a detour to the famed Stone Forest which was a little way down from the village. It is quite amazing that these rock formations are totally natural! The formidable Eastern counterpart that puts the Stonehenge to shame, heheh. Very breath-taking indeed. Close-up of the majestic rocks.

We head off for one of two villages in which health education and screenings were to be conducted over the next 2 days with the help of some local dentists and a group of ITE students from Singapore. Transporting cartloads of wheat. Harvest field aplenty. no pun intended, heh. Breathtaking view enroute to village #1 on high ground.

We arrive 1430h at Kunming International Airport via Bangkok. On the way to our accomadation for the night in a mini-van after being received by Mr Abraham Xu. Observe the glee faces filled with anticipation! Was pleasantly surprised to find Kunming quite a modern city not unlike Singapore. Settling down and making ourselves at home in the cosy living room.
