The Southbridge Auxiliary police department is a completely volunteer group consisting of 40 members with the mission to assist and augment the full time police department. Their function is to be the eyes and the ears of the police department, and to assist and learn from more experienced officers. Auxiliary Officers can regularly be seen working crowd control and traffic at special events or on foot patrol during busy nights downtown. Becoming an Auxiliary is a great stepping stone into Law Enforcement.
