Thursday, February 05, 2004. Wall Hanging 4" Planter. This project was another one of those "experimental" pieces that my wife liked.all except for the color. Simple in design, yet elegant. Which makes me ask "when do you know exactly when to stop adding details? I'm not sure I can answer that fully yet, but maybe that's what you learn when you qualify as an "artist". Maybe the journey is as rewarding as reaching the destination.but maybe that depends on where you're heading! Posted by Mark @ 11:22 PM.

Saturday, April 23, 2005. A Bed of Rose (s). While many may argue the pro's and con's of marriage, it's definately love that bonds a marriage and I'm very blessed to have it in mine. The rose you see is a first for me. It's completely hand cut and hand formed. I built it under the cover of secrecy.why? Cause I'm not to good at making things out of paper plus steel is a lot cheaper than gold! The rose is made up of 22 individual pieces and took me 3.5 hours to fabricate. Thanks dear I Love You!

Thursday, October 23, 2003. The 1st Thing I Ever Smithed. This was the first thing I ever smithed a left handed steak turner! This was the spark that lead to my fire of ornamental iron prowess. Although I've been a metal worker my entire adult career, I had never till this day, tried blacksmithing. I was fortunate enough to have a boss who is a blacksmith and invited me out to give it a try. One look, was all it took! Posted by Mark @ 11:52 PM. Alexander, North Carolina, United States.

Wednesday, November 17, 2004. In this project, I expanded upon a design I had seen before but added subtle details. It's made for holding (2) 4" pots. It measures around 24" wide x 12" deep x 16" tall. The work now resides in Indiana swinging softly in those Mid-West breezes! Posted by Mark @ 10:53 PM. Alexander, North Carolina, United States.
